Here at 61 Print Studio we have some great Print Workshops happening over the Easter holidays. If you fancy some creative fun for all generations, come along and have a go.

61 Print Studio 61 Print Studio is a printmaking workshop & education space in the heart of Hampshire.

We have two spaces available in Thursday's After School Art Club.

These classes explore all sorts of different ways of making art. In the last year alone we've made sculptures out of clay, tried printing techniques like linocut and etching, developed cyanotype images, worked on underwater illustrations using watercolour, and used bookbinding techniques to make our own sketchbooks. The idea is to enjoy art and creativity with freedom away from marking and grades.

The price is £12 per session to be paid at the start of the half term. It runs from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and is for 9 year olds upwards (school years 5/6 and above) If your young person is walking down from Overton primary school, I am in the studio from half three and will be ready and waiting with drinks and biscuits for their arrival.

Greetings from 61 Print Studio! If you are looking for something to do over half term we have 2 Family Print Club Workshops on the time table.

Monday is a Linocut Workshop and Wednesday is Tetrapak Printing. If you don't know what that is, I guarantee it's fun, easy, environmentally friendly and gets great results.

Ages are from 8 upwards and the idea behind Family Print Club is that adults and kids do it together.
If you fancy getting creative & participating in a fun activity with your young people, come and have a go.

Due to the popularity of this week's festive Ink & Sip, I have added another one to the timetable next
Friday 13th Dec 7 -9pm
Spend a relaxed evening with friends and a glass of wine learning the art of Linocut. 61 Print Studio is a lovely cosy venue for Ink & Sip. There is room for 5 participants, so each will get lots of tutor guidance if needed. You can indulge yourself with a festive theme and get some cards or art work made to gift to that special someone. We have a beautiful wine provided by Caviste Overton, this comes highly recommended by Rachel who has been my official wine guru for the last three years and she's never recommended a doozy.

Next Weeks Family Print Club at 61 Print Studio is Botanical Printmaking.

Adults - If you are fed up with sitting on the side-line, watching your kids get stuck in and missing the days when you could have a go yourself then these sessions are for you.

Kids - if you are fed up with your adult dishing out advice, but never actually getting stuck into the activity themselves then these sessions are for you.

These classes are a fun, creative way to spend time together immersed in the same activity. They are for those who love arts and crafts, as well as for those who just want to try something new and get out of the house on a Saturday morning.

We will be botanical printmaking for this session of Family Print Club. We will be using leaves, flowers and feathers to create beautiful mono prints using the big press. This is a short, fun print session aimed at families. Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, teenagers or 8s and over. Adults bring a kid, kids bring an adult.

This is the drying rack from the 11-16s Linocut Workshop this morning. The guys were great and made some beautiful linocut prints (spot the arowana fish).

If you have 11-16s at home, fed up with the rain, there will be another Linocut workshop next Monday 10 -12 am at 61 Print Studio. All equipment (and biscuits) provided.

This one-day course will give you an introduction to the art of non-toxic etching. Students will learn how to etch an image onto an aluminium plate which can then be inked and printed with a press. No previous experience is needed for this course. Beginners are welcome, along with those who would like a refresher. All equipment is provided (as well as tea coffee and biscuits). Just bring your imagination.
