Thank you for those who came to the passage meditation today. It was suggested that we make it a regular thing on a Sunday at 2pm so I will post links later for those who wish to join us on a drop in session. We will work with the same sutra but different translations each week.

I have a family issue that I'm currently dealing with so will post links Friday evening if I can go ahead.

For members of the BWY only: To all BWY members with regard to the AGM and in particular the proposed New Articles that the BWY NEC wish the membership adopt prior to AGM. I wrote to the BWY and it has been confirmed the following information. There are two additions to the Articles that the membership were requested to ratify in April and July 2021, these can be found the Notes to the Notice for the AGM, which can be found under the ‘reports’ section on the BWY website. The New Articles have to be voted in their entirety rather than separate resolutions. If the membership decide not to accept the proposed New M & As, the current articles will remain as governing documents. Please note it is not necessary for the membership to adopt the New Articles in order to have an AGM

I recommend that the proposed M&AA are rejected as it would allow trustees to borrow money without any personal liability should they leave i.e. they could take on debt and leave which would then be the responsibility of the incoming trustees. (There are a number of other reasons, not just this one but as we can't approve changes individually we would have to accept this change too).

Ibolc Blessings! The wheel turns and we celebrate the Irish Goddess Brigid (Bride/Brighid), goddess of the hearth and home. Take time today to change your altar (if you keep one) and recognise the shift in focus to your desires for the coming year. What are you hoping to grow this year? Brigid is also goddess of the blacksmithing, healing and poetry. Perhaps write a poem for your altar. Colours - white, silver and/or green. Plant - blackberry, lavender, sage, heather, coltsfoot. Offerings - milk (perhaps leave outside rather than on your altar), fire - light a candle if you don't have an open fire/log burner. Although not her flower per se, I like to decorate the altar with a pot of snowdrops (they can be planted out the following year). You can also make a Brigid's cross if you have some reeds available to you, or other flexible material such as straw or willow (needs soaking). To honour her as the Goddess of the home, start your spring cleaning, or clear out that drawer you've been meaning to tidy up.

I was just talking to my class about this tonight as we did a practice for the full moon. I recalled that the full moon used to keep me up/make me restless a couple of days before and during, but, since the menopause, I find the dark moon more disturbing. It would be interesting to know the ages and s*x of the original group.

Research finds people stay up later and sleep less before full moon, and do the opposite before new moon
