A huge congratulations to our wonderful Year 6 children this evening. What a joy it has been to watch you shine at the Gala Dinner — confident, talented, and full of pride. You gave yourself and your families a night to remember.

Thank you to our incredible parents for your support, to the staff who stayed to help make the evening run so smoothly and supported during the day and to Darren from Roots to food.

It was a beautiful way to spend an evening together as a svhool family, celebrating everything our children have achieved.

Large Schools Athletics Tournament Success! We would like to say a huge well done to our fantastic representatives from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 who competed in this year’s Large Schools Athletics Tournament.

The children showed incredible determination, competing with real heart and a ‘can do’ attitude, giving their absolute best in every event. We truly couldn’t be prouder of them all!

Their hard work paid off with an amazing 14 medals overall:
🥇 6 Gold
🥈 1 Silver
🥉 7 Bronze

An outstanding achievement—and to top it all off, Team Barrowby finished 3rd overall!

A big thank you to Mrs Banfield, Mr Batey and Mrs Watson for accompanying and supporting the children throughout the day, and to all the parents who stayed to cheer them on—your support means so much. Go Team Barrowby!

Dance-a-thon Success at Barrowby! Huge congratulations to all our children for taking part in this year’s Dance-a-thon! Every pupil showed fantastic enthusiasm and energy as they kept moving for a full 30 minutes – what an amazing achievement.

It was wonderful to see such positive attitudes towards fitness and wellbeing across the whole school.

A special mention must go to our Year 6 children, who were fantastic role models throughout the event. Many of them even got dressed up for the occasion – and they looked great! We are very proud of the enthusiasm and spirit they showed.

A big thank you also goes to the FoBs for their very kind donation of ice pops for everyone. After all that dancing, the children enjoyed sitting together in the shade on the field, cooling down and sharing a well-deserved, refreshing treat.

We are so proud of everyone’s effort, teamwork, and spirit.

Sponsored Fitness Success! What a great day we’ve had with our whole-school Sponsored Fitness Sessions! The energy, enthusiasm and determination shown by all of our pupils was incredible – we are so proud of everyone who took part.

A huge thank you to Sophie from Endure in Bottesford for leading such fun, engaging and active sessions. The children loved it, and it was a wonderful way to promote fitness and wellbeing across the school.

We now look forward to even more excitement tomorrow with our Dance-a-thon, where children will be challenged to keep moving for 30 minutes – we can’t wait to see everyone bring their best moves. Go team Barrowby!

Congratulations to Armstrong, who secured 1st place in this year’s Annual Key Stage 2 House Rounders Tournament — a fantastic achievement!

Well done also to all of our Key Stage 2 children, who showed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the event. You should all be very proud.

Now, are we ready for the next challenge? Tomorrow brings our Sponsored Fitness Sessions, where every child will perform a routine taught by Sophie Wydra from Endure in Bottesford.

All funds raised will go towards our next exciting project: the installation of a long jump pit on the school grounds — a project we are delighted to now be in a position to revisit. Good luck everyone, and enjoy the challenge! Go team Barrowby!

Well done to all of our Reception and Key Stage 1 children for taking part in this year’s House Tournament – we are so proud of your enthusiasm, teamwork and effort!

What a wonderful Sport's Day, we have all enjoyed. The weather was sunny but not too bright, the children were raring to go and parents turned out in force to support this year's event.

Congratulations to Armstrong who placed 1st, with Scott in 2nd and Chichester who placed 3rd.

Thank you to our Year 6 mums for dressing up and to all the mums, dads, toddlers and family members for joining us today. Go team Barrowby.
