Before we switch off the alarms, pack away the pencils and enjoy a well-earned summer break... here's a little reminder of the incredible people who make Hall Orchard such a special place.
(Yes... they agreed to wear the glasses!)
Behind every smile in this video is someone who has given their time, energy, patience and heart to our children this year. From the classroom to the playground, the kitchen to the office, the wraparound team to the site staff – every single member of Team HOPS has played their part in helping our children learn, laugh, grow and flourish.
School is so much more than lessons. It's confidence built one small step at a time. It's friendships formed, tears wiped away, achievements celebrated and memories made that will last a lifetime.
To our incredible staff – thank you. Your care, commitment, resilience and unwavering belief in our children never goes unnoticed. Hall Orchard is what it is because of you.
To our wonderful parents and carers – thank you for trusting us with your children every day and for your continued support throughout the year. We are proud to work in partnership with such a fantastic community.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our dedicated Governors for their guidance, challenge and unwavering support, and to our fantastic PTFA, whose enthusiasm, generosity and hard work have created so many memorable experiences and opportunities for our children this year. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for our school.
And finally... to our amazing Year 6 children.
We've watched you grow from little learners into kind, confident and remarkable young people. As you head off to your secondary schools, take a little piece of Hall Orchard with you. Keep being curious. Keep being courageous. Keep being yourselves. We are incredibly proud of you and know you'll go on to achieve wonderful things.
Have the most amazing summer, everyone. Make memories, have adventures, enjoy time together and come back refreshed for another exciting year ahead.
From all of us at Hall Orchard...
Thank you for being part of our story this year.
See you in August!

What a show!
This week, our incredibly talented Year 5 and 6 children took to the stage to perform GiggleBox – and what a fantastic performance it was!
After entertaining the whole school, they then wowed audiences of over 300 parents, grandparents and friends, filling the hall with laughter, music and applause. Every child should be immensely proud of the confidence, enthusiasm and teamwork they demonstrated. From the acting and singing to the dancing and stage presence, they truly shone.
A huge thank you goes to our wonderful Year 5 and 6 team for the time, dedication and care they invested in bringing the production to life. Your hard work behind the scenes made this unforgettable experience possible for our children.
We would also like to thank all of our families and friends for coming along to support the children. Your encouragement means so much and helped make the performances extra special.
Well done, Year 5 and 6 – you were absolutely brilliant!
Waaahooo! We can't wait for the disco after school tomorrow.

Parkrun Primary is Back!
We're excited to announce that Hall Orchard's Parkrun Primary event returns on Sunday 5th July at Watermead Country Park Junior parkrun!
Last November, when we launched our partnership with Parkrun Primary, Hall Orchard families helped break the attendance record at Watermead Junior parkrun. We'd love to do it again!
This year's event will also be a Barrow takeover day, with children from Barrow Runners attending as part of their championship events.
Children must be registered with parkrun and bring their barcode on the day. https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/?section=form&eventName=watermeadcountrypark-juniors&e=watermeadcountrypark-juniors

Sports Day Postponed – Due to the Great British Weather!
Unfortunately, due to the forecast of wet weather, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming Sports Day events.
While we know how much our children, families and staff were looking forward to the day, the safety of everyone involved must come first. With the amount of rain expected, we cannot guarantee that the sports field will be safe or suitable for the activities planned. Wet and slippery conditions increase the risk of accidents, and we want to ensure that all children can participate safely and enjoy the event to the fullest.
We appreciate that this may be disappointing, but we are hopeful that a new dates will allow us to celebrate Sports Day in much better conditions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone cheering on our children when the weather is a little kinder to us!

Building Positive Friendships
Our Year 5 and Year 6 children have recently taken part in a series of workshops focusing on friendship and positive relationships.
Through engaging activities and thoughtful discussions, pupils explored what makes a good friend, the qualities they value in others, and how to build respectful and positive relationships. They also learned practical strategies for resolving friendship disagreements and managing challenging social situations in a calm and constructive way.
These sessions have helped to develop empathy, communication skills and confidence, supporting our children to build and maintain healthy friendships both in and out of school. 💙

Year 2's Sensational Safari Day!
Our Year 2 children had an amazing time celebrating all things Kenya during their Sensational Safari Day! They enjoyed creating African masks, colourful necklaces and Kenyan flags while learning about Kenyan culture and traditions.
The adventure continued with a delicious taste of Kenya, as the children sampled chapatti, coconut rice and bharazi curry, before finishing with a sweet mandazi treat.
It was a day filled with creativity, learning and lots of smiles, and the children loved every moment!
A huge thank you to the Hall Orchard PTFA for making this wonderful experience possible.
