✨What a roar-some week of discovery, creativity and adventure we have had learning about the fascinating world of dinosaurs! 🦕

Our children have been busy carefully cutting dinosaurs free and rescuing them from sticky tape and elastic bands, washing muddy dinosaurs, creating lots of pictures and took part in early mathematic and literacy themed games.

Along the way, there has been lots of opportunities for exploring, problem solving, counting, mark making, imaginative play, scissor skills and much more.

We have had so much fun learning about these prehistoric creatures! 🦖✨

From our baby room to preschool, here’s a little introduction or reintroduction to the wonderful people who make up our Happy Hares family 🧸🌈

✨ Reminder that we are closed on Monday 25th May for the Bank Holiday, we reopen as usual at 7:30am on Tuesday.

✨Little Learners, Big Ideas✨

Over recent weeks our little learners have had a fantastic time exploring all things Zoo animals & Construction! 🐘🐯🧱🚧

Our children have been busy building with blocks and other resources, dressing up, using tools safely and developing their literacy and numeracy skills through lots of different hands-on learning. Some of our Big Hares especially enjoyed making wooden Pigs using different materials and tools 🐷

Our children have shown great teamwork, concentration, and creativity throughout their activities ✨

We also said goodbye and a big thank you to our lovely student Megan, who has been with us for over a year. Megan has now achieved her Level 3 qualification, and we are so proud of how far she has come! We wish her all the best for the future and we hope to see her at Happy Hares again soon! 💙

A huge Happy Birthday to our wonderful apprentice Lydia!
Lydia brings a warm smile to those around her, she’s kind, fun and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed.

☀️ Fun in the sun ☀️

We have had a brilliant week enjoying the sunshine in our lovely nursery garden 🪴

Our children have been very busy as usual-

• We started the week with Ross from The Goal Getters coming in to do his weekly football sessions that our 2 year olds and Big Hares love. The children had so much fun learning new skills and engaging with different activities ⚽️

• Some of our children picked a range of beautiful flowers and made their very own flower holders 💐

• This week our topic has been Music & Movement, all our children have engaged with age and stage related activities and really enjoyed making lots of noise with the musical instruments.
Music has been enjoyed across the whole nursery, from our littlest ones learning how to use the different instruments, whilst our bigger ones have taken it a step further by creating their own with Trina, our forest school practitioner 🎶🥁🪇

A busy week full of fun learning and creativity! 😊

We have had a wonderful time celebrating Easter at Nursery! 🐣🌷

The children have explored lots of eggciting sensory tuff trays, enjoyed sharing lovely Easter stories, baking and got creative with some eggcellent crafts. Our Easter egg hunt today was full of smiles and excitement! It was so lovely to see children of all ages joining in together 🥰
We also enjoyed a special Easter Tea party full of yummy treats! 🧁

A huge Happy 30th Birthday to one of our amazing Deputy Managers, Leon! The one who brings all the noise, lots of energy and so much fun to every day! 🎉 You are totally crazy but all the children adore you and we wouldn’t have you any other way! Over the past couple of weeks our little ones have been very busy! 🐇

World Book Day 📚
We had a wonderful time celebrating world book day by dressing up as our favourite book characters or coming to nursery in our pyjamas. The children enjoyed listening to lots of stories, exploring different books, engaging with many different book themed activities and having lots of fun throughout the week! It was amazing to see so many children and of course adults dressed up- we loved seeing all the different characters come to life!📚🎭
Our Big Hares were invited on a trip to Waterstones to have a story read to them. The children very much enjoyed this and couldn’t stop talking about it on their return to nursery. Thank you so much to Waterstones for having us! 😊

Forest School 🌳
The preschool children have also been very busy during our forest school sessions. The children have been developing a range of different motor skills while collecting natural materials, building, cutting using tools and creating.
These hands-on activities help to build curiosity, encourage team work, and confidence as they explore and learn in the outdoor environment.

Trina- Our amazing Forest school practitioner said “I have noticed a big difference in their communication, self-esteem & behaviour”. The imagination has been amazing! 🛖

It’s been a couple of weeks full of imagination, creativity & adventure! ✨
