🍂 Our Autumn Handprint Tree 🍁

The children got creative making our very own autumn tree! 🌳

We worked together to draw around their hands and arms to create the trunk and branches. They then used paint and their fingers to create colourful autumn leaves, exploring reds, oranges, yellows and greens. 🎨🍁

This was a lovely activity for developing:

* ✋ Fine motor skills through painting and finger painting
* 🎨 Creativity and self-expression
* 👀 Exploring colours and colour mixing
* 🗣️ Communication and language as we talked about autumn and changes in nature
* 🤝 Working together and sharing resources
* 🌿 Understanding the world by noticing how trees and leaves change with the seasons

The children loved seeing their hands and fingers turn into a beautiful autumn tree! 🍂

Another lovely week of learning through play! 🌞

The children have enjoyed outdoor adventures, climbing, balancing and exploring at the park, alongside sensory play and fine motor activities indoors. These experiences support their confidence, communication, physical development, problem-solving and curiosity, all while having lots of fun together.

✨ EYFS: Communication & Language, Physical Development, PSED, Understanding the World & Expressive Arts and Design.
