ART TRIPS – Each year Art Pass members will be taken on a number of visits to national galleries, exhibitions and art festivals.
The Art Pass is a membership scheme open to students who enjoy, and wish to expand their experience of the visual arts by engaging in a variety of social, educational and personal development activities. In addition one-off trips to the theatre, craft fairs and fashion shows will be organised, which will be also open to non-members for a small charge. SOCIAL – Evening events for members to relax,
get to know each other and enjoy. ‘Curated’ by invited artists these evenings will include food, drink, music, live art performance, installation, and ‘happenings’. TALKS – Art Pass members can find out more about artists/curators’ practice through a programme of regular talks and presentations. These will also be open to non-members for a small charge. LUA SPACES – Once a year members can propose a project or exhibition to be sited in the LUA spaces. Projects/exhibitions will be selected through a submission process, with the successful project supported by the LUA team. PORTFOLIO & DISCUSSION – Throughout the year students will get the opportunity to present their work to a small panel of professionals for friendly feedback and advice on their practice. WORK & CAREER – There will be opportunities to work with artists commissioned for the Radar programme, plus the chance to gain practical experience of arts and events management through a programme of volunteering and paid work, which can be counted towards the industry recognised, Employability Award.
