If anyone has been wondering why I’ve been super quiet recently… it’s because I’ve been growing our baby!!

I have been surviving not thriving for quite a while now 🤣 but I seem to be feeling so much better in my second trimester!!

Thank you so so much to all of my wonderful clients for baring with me, supporting me and understanding when I’ve had to rearrange due to being sick 🤢 I really am the luckiest Hypnobirthing teacher in the world and I love the community of YHB more than any of you could imagine 🤍

Of course I am feeling incredibly lucky and grateful to be carrying our second baby!! We are so blessed as a family and cannot wait to snuggle our new addition in January.

My bookings are still open till the end of the year and I will absolutely be practising Hypnobirthing and relaxation with you all! ❤️

How can your jaw affect your birth? 👄

Well… when a baby is formed, the first two elements of the body to form are the jaw and the pelvis.

Even though, as we grow up, these two body parts are at polar opposite ends of the body, they are still immensely connected!

Research shows that when your jaw is tense, your pelvic muscles are too so keeping a soft, relaxed jaw is super important in order to keep those pelvic muscles nice and relaxed too.

This will allow your baby to have a nice smooth exit.

This little tip is especially important if you choose to use gas and air!

Lots of women bite down on the mouth piece without even noticing. So it’s also a good idea to let your birth partner know that you need to keep your jaw lovely and relaxed so that they can remind you of this if you forget!

When I first decided to run Pregnancy Relaxation courses, one of my dreams for the sessions was that expecting mums would find each other at a time where they needed it most.

Being pregnant, although magical, can be quite lonely at times. Especially if you’re the only one in your circle to be expecting 🤰🏼

Each week I am absolutely in awe while watching my lovely clients chat away, without my input, about their experience, concerns and excitement!

The mums who come to my sessions bond in a way that I always hoped but was never sure would happen. Finding each other at a time where they need it most.

I purposely keep my sessions small and intimate so that my clients feel comfortable in chatting about their experience within a small group.

I have now released spaces for my pregnancy relaxation courses in July!! 🤰🏼 🕯️

There’s still ONE space left for May’s weekend course and few left for June! 🥰

I am always blown away by how well these sessions work in relaxing my gorgeous pregnant ladies and they have just got even better with our beautiful new room!!🥹

🫧 Our lovely sessions are held in Barnsley, South Yorkshire (although I do have an online option if you’re not local - just message me for these details!)

🫧 The course is a block of 4 classes and they will each be around one hour long.

🫧 The classes will include a taught section which will touch on Hypnobirthing techniques and this section will be different each week.

🫧 We’ll chat about how to get the best out of your birth - however you choose to birth - while also being a safe space to ask any questions or share any worries you may have! ❤️

🫧 For the second half of the session we’ll then have a lovely, long guided relaxation session in my brand new, calm, cosy, candle lit studio which will also provide you with techniques you can start to practise at home in preparation for your birth! 🕯️

🫧 We have tea and coffee available each week too which makes the sessions the perfect time to have hot drink in peace while we chat all things babies! ☕️

It’s also a perfect space to meet other expecting mummies at a similar gestation to you! 🤰🏼

I often hear clients saying “I’m not going to write a birth plan because it won’t happen anyway.”

👆🏼 Firstly, practising Hypnobirthing can stack the odds in your favour of having the birth you want.

✌🏼 But more importantly, just because your birth doesn’t happen exactly how you “planned” it, doesn’t mean it can’t still be positive.

Having a positive birth is all about feeling in control.

Knowing that you can make your own choices the whole way through your birth.

Remaining calm so that you can make rational decisions and work with your body to birth your baby rather than working against it.

Feeling empowered, fearless and supported.

Why am I so passionate about Hypnobirthing?

In a nutshell, it completely changed my experience of pregnancy, birth and I believe parenthood too. Let me explain…

When I was pregnant with my little girl, I was really anxious about certain details of labour. I had all of these ideas in my head that Labour was going to be the worst, scariest and most difficult experience of my life.

It meant that I couldn’t fully enjoy my pregnancy. Every day I would wake up thinking “I have got to give birth to this baby at some point.” 😳

So I booked myself a Hypnobirthing Course. It was a two day course and it was genuinely revolutionary.

I learned things that no midwife or doctor had ever told me before.

I learned that I had choices when it came to my birth.

I learned the ins and outs of vaginal births, caesarian births, intervention and a whole lot more.

I saw a side to birth that I would NEVER have seen if it wasn’t for a Hypnobirthing course.

After I finished the course I finally started to enjoy my pregnancy! I would wake up each morning feeling excited to give birth! I practised my techniques most days leading up to my birth and thank goodness I did!!

My birth wasn’t exactly plain sailing and I definitely had some curve balls to deal with.

HOWEVER…

Because of the Hypnobirthing course that I had done, my birth was the most positive experience of my life.

I was so in control.

I was so calm.

I was making rational decisions that I knew were best for me and my baby.

I was enjoying my birth!

I truly believe that had I not booked my place on a Hypnobirthing course, my birth could have been VERY different.

I also believe that because I had such a positive birth experience, my transition into parenthood was so much easier too!

My dream and passion is spreading the word of Hypnobirthing far and wide.

I know that EVERY woman deserves to have a positive birth no matter what happens on the day.

I want Hypnobirthing to be accessible to all women no matter what their choices are.
