Year 6 (Class 12) thoroughly enjoyed investigating the clues that were left in their room this week. They pieced together the photographs, the props and the written clues to work out what could have happened. They now know they are finding out about the Highwayman!

This week, all KS3 students have had the opportunity in their English lessons to take part in the Junior Poet Identity Project: “My Barnsley & Identity”, a creative poetry challenge celebrating young voices and their connection to Barnsley.

Students were encouraged to write a poem that reflects their personal identity and connection to Barnsley – its places, people, heritage, dialect and memories.

Our students embraced the challenge and have written some wonderful pieces.
