This Volunteers' Week, we're celebrating a brilliant new partnership that's bringing learning directly into the heart of the Leeds community 💜

Our Outreach Team recently connected with Oblong, a development charity based in Woodhouse, Leeds, serving the Woodhouse, Hyde Park, and Little London communities since 1996.

After an initial meeting between our Outreach Coordinator Steve and Oblong's Milly Rohman, we're thrilled to have agreed two Five Ways to Wellbeing sessions taking place in June:

🟣 One session for Oblong's ESOL group, supporting social mobility and inclusion

🟣 One session for Oblong's volunteers — perfectly timed to celebrate both Volunteers' Week and Oblong's 30th Anniversary!

The Five Ways to Wellbeing course gives participants an introduction to wellbeing strategies, alongside a look at the wider learning opportunities available to them at Northern College.

We're also in the early stages of planning a family weekend experience for an Oblong group, and we can't wait to welcome them to Wentworth Castle.

This is exactly what community learning looks like.
