Καλή σχολική χρονιά! A new year begins at HSHB. 🇬🇷
Before we welcome everyone back, a word about last summer's results.
A Level Greek — 100% of our students achieved A–B.* Not one student below a B.
GCSE Greek — 89% achieved grade 4 or above, and 44% achieved grades 7–9. Every single student was awarded a grade.
Those results belong to our students and to the teachers who sat beside them week after week. Συγχαρητήρια σε όλους. 👏
Now — welcome back. HSHB returns this Saturday, 12 September, and we can't wait to see our returning families and to meet some new ones.
HSHB has been teaching children within our community since 1977. Today over 150 children attend, from Nursery through to A Level, in an average class of 12. Our teachers are highly qualified, fully DBS checked, and passionate about what they do.
We know Greek isn't the first language at home for many of our families — which is why we run the GCSE over three years rather than two, so every child has the time to reach their full potential. And HSHB remains one of the few schools in the north London community still offering Greek to A Level.
Alongside the language, our children attend weekly dance lessons and learn about Greek and Cypriot history and customs, which they bring to life through performances throughout the year. It's a genuinely warm and welcoming school, with a family ethos.
