🎨✨ What a fantastic way to end the school year! ✨🎨

A huge well done to our incredibly talented Year 7 and Year 8 students for their fantastic DT projects this term.

🌊 Year 7 designed and created beautiful cushions to raise awareness of sea life pollution, combining impressive sewing skills with meaningful, thought-provoking designs.

πŸ‘œ Year 8 designed and made unique tote bags inspired by abstract art, using colour, shape and composition to express their emotions, creativity and individuality.

We are so proud of everything you’ve achieved this year. Your hard work, imagination and growing skills have truly shone through in every project.

Have a wonderful, well-deserved summer break, we can’t wait to see what you’ll create next year! β˜€οΈπŸ’™

πŸ‡«πŸ‡· A fantastic day in France! πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

On 16th July, our KS3 and KS4 French students enjoyed an unforgettable Activity Day on the beautiful Opal Coast, travelling by ferry for a truly immersive language and cultural experience.

Their adventure began at a traditional village boulangerie, where they made their own bread and discovered what life is like for a French baker. They then visited the renowned Chocolaterie Beussent Lachelle, watching delicious chocolates being made before putting their French language skills into practice by asking questions and purchasing souvenirs.

A wonderful day of learning beyond the classroom, creating lasting memories and bringing the French language to life. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ₯–πŸ«

🌍 Making a Difference, One Piece of Litter at a Time! 🌿

Our fantastic Eco Council students spent time this week helping to clean the local area surrounding our school, showing incredible teamwork, resilience and pride in their community.

Despite the warm weather and limited time, our Year 7 and Year 8 students worked tirelessly to collect litter, helping to make our neighbourhood cleaner and more welcoming for everyone.

The highlight of the afternoon was hearing from local residents who stopped to thank our students for taking the initiative. Their kind words were a wonderful reminder that even small acts of service can have a big impact.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. Thank you for representing ECS with such enthusiasm, respect and community spirit.

πŸ’š Together, we’re creating a cleaner, greener future.

As part of our World of Work Week, our Year 10 students took part in a Sixth Form Taster Day, giving them the opportunity to experience life as a sixth former. 🌟

Students explored a range of subjects, experienced A-Level style learning, and gained valuable insight into the opportunities and pathways available to them after Year 11. It was a fantastic experience that encouraged them to think about their future ambitions and make informed decisions about their next steps.

We’re proud to provide opportunities that inspire our students to aim high and prepare for the future.
