And that’s a wrap for Banstead Bunnies 2025/26! ✨

Team Bunnies has been truly blessed to have had the privilege of nurturing your children throughout their early years journey. We feel so proud of every one of them and are confident they will continue to be curious, inquisitive and resilient individuals as they grow and flourish in their next adventures.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all of you, parents, children and staff, for believing in me as I took over Banstead Bunnies Preschool in 2024. Taking on this opportunity was unquestionably worth every challenge and has marked the beginning of dreams coming true. My passion has always been to advocate for preserving childhood for as long as possible, allowing children to learn through play, wonder and exploration. Thank you for trusting the process of change and for helping make Banstead Bunnies Preschool such a truly magnificent place for us all.

Behind every magical moment is my incredible team. They have built such special relationships with your children and have shown commitment, kindness and professionalism every single day. They share my passion for early years education and are always striving to learn, grow and provide the very best for every unique child who joins us.

To our families moving on to school, we wish you every happiness and success as your children begin this exciting new chapter. Please know they will always be part of the Banstead Bunnies family. To all of our returning families, we can’t wait to welcome you back in September for another year filled with fun, laughter and adventure. Our Autumn Term starts on Monday 7th September 2026.

Thank you again for your kindness, your support and, most importantly, for trusting us with your precious children. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of their story.

Wishing you all a wonderful, healthy and happy summer.

Best wishes, Jo 🩵

We were delighted to welcome our local MP for Reigate and Banstead, Rebecca Paul, to Banstead Bunnies Preschool.

We invited Rebecca to discuss the EHCP application process and our growing concerns about children with significant additional needs being recommended for mainstream school settings without the planning, preparation and specialist provision needed to help them succeed.

Every child deserves to learn in an environment where they feel safe, understood and able to thrive. At Banstead Bunnies, we’ve seen children make incredible developmental progress because our environment is adapted to meet their individual needs. Combined with our high adult-to-child ratio, this enables children to develop confidence, independence and a love of exploration.

We also shared our concern that simply providing a child with a 1:1 adult in a mainstream setting is not always the answer. A specialist environment offers so much more than individual support—it nurtures social development, emotional wellbeing and the skills children need to become autonomous learners.

The shortage of specialist education settings is also forcing many families to travel long distances to access appropriate education, placing unnecessary pressure on children and their families.

One parent’s words particularly stayed with us:
“Education is becoming a privilege, not a necessity, for children with additional needs.”

Our ethos at Banstead Bunnies Preschool is to preserve childhood for as long as possible; to encourage curiosity, exploration and joyful learning as children navigate the world around them. Every child deserves the opportunity to flourish in the right environment.

Thank you, Rebecca Paul, for taking the time to listen. We hope conversations like these help create lasting, positive change for children with additional needs and their families.

One of our favourite times of the day 📚

11/06/2026

Julie runs our fun filled Boogie Beats sessions and also works as a nanny. Julie is available to support families after school and you can find out more about Julie by reading below:

My name is Julie and I have been working with children for over 30 years and hold a Foundation degree and BA Hons in childcare and education.

I have worked as a nanny for a local family since September 2023. Prior to this I was also employed as a nanny for a family with 2 girls in Ashtead for 2 years and another family before this for 4 years.

My other current job is working every morning running Boogie Beat music and movement classes for children under 5 years. I run sessions in local nurseries and schools term time only, during the mornings.

From 1997-2016 I worked as a Nursery Manager in the same day nursery for 17 years working with children from 3 months to 5 years old. My duties included inducting and training nursery practitioners and managing a team of up to 25 staff. I had overall responsibility of safeguarding children and ensuring health and safety standards were maintained at all times, especially with regards to adult:child ratios.

I am looking for a local family who require after school pick ups and I am available for the following hours – 2.30-6/615 x 3 days and 1pm-6/6.15 x 1 day (4 days) per week, 15/16 hours. Ideally looking for 2 children ages from 6yrs upwards, to collect from school, assist with homework, do fun activities, cook meals and any light household duties before school pick up.

For further information you can view my full profile on this website Nanny in Banstead - Childcare.co.uk

Many thanks
