You hear a lot about the benefits of ivy for local wildlife - especially for pollinators late in the year - but there's a fascination to seeing so many little beings feeding on it. It was a little moment of awe for me, as I walked home from running a mundane errand 💚

It's such a privilege to work outdoors, and this past Saturday really brought that home for me. It was a loooong day as part of the RAW Adventures mountain safety team for Rat Race's Sea to Summit race on Yr Wyddfa - but what a day for it! The sunrise was beautiful, as was the evening light 🌄

I also had time to admire the boggy fields that abound in the Rhyd Ddu area 😂

Sometimes a group just comes together 😍

These 10 lovely people summited Yr Wyddfa with me on Saturday, braving a soggy start and some lively wind speeds. For people who didn't know each other at the start, they were so supportive of one another - and five of them went to have a brew together afterwards. My favourite kind of day!!

Thanks RAW Adventures, it's always a pleasure guiding for you! I look forward to the next season 😊

ONLY A MONTH TO GO!

I'm excited about this as it's something totally new - nature connection but without the seriousness. Just playing, using our imaginations and goofing around like we did when we were kids. I love it and I hope you will too 🤩

Please join me and Dr David Fong for a light-hearted morning, where we might build castles and fairy trails, make little boats to send down a stream, and share a few laughs and tales about what we've built. But no matter what, we'll definitely have fun!

Helo pawb! Hey folks!

My Welsh journey continues... I passed the Canolradd (Intermediate) exam in June, and lessons have started again this week. I'm not sure I'm ready... Dw i ddim yn siwr bod i'n barod. Wel, barod i gael panic 😂😂😂

I'm now doing Uwch 1 (that's Higher 1), where the focus is being able to have a more fluent conversation - trio siarad yn rhugl. I'm not sure I'm capable of having a fluent conversation in English but hey, you gotta try, right? 😂

Dw i'n gobeithio i fod yn rhugl mewn dwy flynedd - I hope to be fluent within two years. Wish me luck!!

Hey folks, my friend Steve from Inside Outside Coaching is running his first CPD training course for the Mountain Training Association in October!!

It's a day-long training that's all about how we as leaders can best support the neurodivergent community to access the outdoors. It'll be in the Peak District (Grindleford) on 17th October.

Steve's an absolute legend. Let me tell you about him. He's a Hill and Moorland Leader, Mountain Leader, and Neurodiversity Master Coach with extensive experience supporting neurodivergent adults. For the past four years, he's led wellbeing walks and outdoor activities designed to improve confidence, wellbeing and connection with nature. Alongside this, he manages the support service of an Adult Autism and ADHD Team, giving him both professional and practical expertise in neurodiversity, inclusion and person-centred support. Also he's just a great guy 🤩
