🏆 Senior Student of the Year: Marcus🏆

We are delighted to celebrate Marcus and his outstanding achievements in music throughout 2026. His dedication, musicality, and love for performing have truly shone through, and we are incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished.

At the Belfast Music Festival, Marcus was honoured to receive the F.A. Haughton Cup for the Most Promising Pianist at Primary Level (2026). Having also been awarded this title in 2025, this marks an incredible two consecutive years of recognition. 🏆

During the same festival, Marcus achieved 1st place in the Grade 5 Piano Solo class and, together with Trevor, won the Wynchurch Cups for Piano Duet (Open Class). 🎶🏆

At the Lagan Music Festival, Marcus was awarded 2nd place in Grade 5 Piano Solo and was delighted to be invited to perform his piano duet with Trevor at the festival’s Gala Concert — a wonderful opportunity to share his music with a wider audience. ✨

Marcus also took part in the EPTA UK National Piano Competition 2026, where he achieved 1st place in Intermediate I (Grades 4–5) at the Belfast Regional Round, earning a place at the Regional Final at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. 🇬🇧🎹

Marcus’s achievements are a wonderful reflection of the commitment, hard work, and passion he brings to his music. We are so incredibly proud of him and all that he has achieved, and we look forward to watching his musical journey continue to flourish.

🌟 Congratulations, Marcus, you are a truly deserving Senior Student of the Year! 🌟

🎶 Inside the Music: a very special day with composer June Armstrong 🎶

What a wonderful and inspiring day it was! We were delighted to welcome composer June Armstrong for Inside the Music- an opportunity to step inside the creative process, explore the ideas and inspiration behind the music, and share in the joy of making music together.
One of the most incredible parts of the day was seeing just how hard our students have been working towards this event. Especially when they’re officially on their summer holidays! Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment have been truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
A very special thank you to June Armstrong for sharing her time, knowledge, creativity and passion so generously with us. It was a privilege for our students to learn from you, hear your insights and experience the music from such a unique perspective. Thank you June, for making Inside the Music such a special and memorable day.
And of course, thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the event such a wonderful celebration of music, creativity and learning.
Here are a few moments from a very special day ☺️
