Pilates isn’t about rushing through the exercises or doing the biggest movements, it’s about doing them well.
The correct form is what makes Pilates so effective. An exercise might look easy, but when you’re engaging the right muscles, controlling every movement, and focusing on your alignment, you’ll quickly realise just how challenging (and rewarding!) it really is.
Quality will always beat quantity. Slow down, focus on your technique, and your body will thank you.

✨ Pilates or Barre… which one is right for you? ✨
This is one of the questions I get asked the most, and the truth is… there isn’t a “better” option
While both are low impact and suitable for all fitness levels, they each have their own unique benefits.
🤍Pilates focuses on core strength, posture, mobility and controlled movement, helping you move better in everyday life.
🤍 Barre combines elements of Pilates, ballet and strength training to build muscular endurance, improve balance and leave you with that signature burn! 🔥
The best part? You don’t have to choose! They complement each other perfectly, which is why I absolutely love teaching both.
Whether you’re looking to feel stronger, improve your posture, tone up, build confidence or simply find a form of movement you genuinely enjoy, there’s a place for you in my classes 🤍

Every mat tells a story🤎
Someone walks into class after a tough day at work.
Someone is carrying the weight of heartbreak.
Someone is grieving a loved one.
Someone is quietly battling their mental health.
Someone is feeling burnt out.
Someone is fighting a battle with food that nobody else can see.
We never truly know what someone is carrying when they step through the door.
Pilates isn’t about having the “perfect” body or smashing the hardest workout. Sometimes it’s simply about giving yourself 45 minutes to breathe, move your body with kindness, and leave feeling just a little lighter than when you arrived.
My classes are a safe space. No judgement. No pressure. Just movement, support, and a room full of people who are all carrying something of their own.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to put yourself first then this is it. 🤍
The strongest person in the room isn’t the one doing the hardest exercise. It’s the one who showed up despite everything they’re carrying🤍
Find me every Tuesday evening and Thursday mornings for Mat Pilates and Barre 🧘
Try this core series for a realllll burn 😮💨
Key points to remember
-keep core engaged (imagine you’re zipping up a pair of jeans, really squeeze that core together)
-keep spine and ribs stable, make sure you’re not doming through the ribs and arching the lower spine as you return back to centre
-BREATH, remember to inhale to prepare and exhale on effort
Let me know if you try 🤍🤍

My weight loss journey isn’t really something I talk about on this page.
When people find me through Pilates, they often assume I’ve always been confident in my body and passionate about movement. The truth is, a year ago I was in a very different place.
Last year I lost 4 stone through a calorie deficit, making small changes and simply moving my body more. What started as a goal to lose weight quickly became so much more than that.
Somewhere along the way I discovered Pilates.
At first, it was just another way to exercise. But the more I practised, the more I fell in love with how it made me feel. It wasn’t about burning the most calories or pushing myself to exhaustion. It was about feeling strong, capable and connected to my body again.
For the first time in a long time, movement felt enjoyable rather than something I had to do.
Pilates helped me build confidence, improve my posture, feel stronger both physically and mentally, and appreciate what my body could do instead of constantly focusing on how it looked.
Losing weight changed my body, but Pilates changed my relationship with it.
And the funny thing is, I’m still not at the end of my journey. I haven’t reached the goal I’ve set for myself, but I genuinely love how I feel right now. I feel stronger, healthier, more confident and more comfortable in my own skin than I have in years. For once, the journey doesn’t feel like something I need to rush through, I’m learning to enjoy it.
That’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about sharing Pilates with others. Because it’s about so much more than exercise. It’s about finding a form of movement that makes you feel good, helps you show up for yourself, and reminds you that your body deserves kindness at every stage of your journey.
If you’re on your own journey, wherever you’re starting from, know that small steps really do add up. 🤍
