We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to school. We hope you’ve had a fantastic summer break 😎
Our staff have been working hard preparing for your return and we are all really excited about the year ahead.
P1 - P7 will be starting on Tuesday 1st September and breakfast club will be available each morning from 8am.
P4 - P7 will finish school each day at 3pm.
P3 will finish at 3pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, 2pm Wednesday to Friday.
P2 will finish at 2pm each day.
P1 please refer to the schedule provided in your information pack.

P1 enjoyed a lovely walk around our beautiful village as part of our topic on Broughshane. Such a great way to explore and learn!

The nursery children had a fantastic time on their trip to GP Kids ‘The Playground’ soft play area on Wednesday. It was lovely to see so many happy faces and lots of fun had by all!

Thanks to HSENI for coming to Broughshane Primary School to educate the whole school about safety around farms. Pupils enjoyed David’s assembly and have been reminded that they can take steps to prevent accidents happening on the farm.
Mrs Ballantine also gave a whole school assembly on safety around water. We are hoping that all our families stay safe during the summer holidays. Let’s hope we get the weather to put all we have learned into practice.

Year 7 were delighted to have a visit from Hannah and Jo from Women’s Aid.
It was great to have a reminder about positivity and growth mindset, and to recognise our own abilities and achievements.
We found out about how to have healthy relationships in our lives. Thank you, Women’s Aid for coming to our school.

Year 7 would like to thank everyone who supported them in their week of enterprise as they set up their shops and sold all manner of goodies! This year has been our most successful yet. We are delighted to say that we raised a very impressive £1215. 12! We couldn't have done it without the support of our parents and school community and are deeply appreciative.

Year 7 have decided to share the money raised between five very worthwhile charities:
Women's Aid
Dog's Trust, Ballymena
Chloe's Foundation
The Make a Wish Foundation
Caring Matters Now

Last week members of the Agriculture Club enjoyed a visit to Ballylagan Organic Farm. We got stuck into feeding the pigs and had great fun exploring the polytunnels. We learned lots about how different vegetables are grown and enjoyed taking part in a quiz where we had to identify a variety of vegetables. It was especially exciting to see some of our competition entries on display when we arrived!
