I know the pressure parents can put on themselves but you’re busy people - it’s ok to take a bit of downtime at home! Especially when summer holidays have just happened! 😅

Feedback that did indeed give me a boost ☺️🖤

It’s been a pleasure to support this boy in his SEAG prep, even though he won’t be attending sessions during term time! He travelled quite a distance each week to attend tutoring with us while it was possible during the summer break, and he will definitely be missed!

But support doesn’t end just because he won’t see us on a face-to-face basis each week. 💛

I know he’s going to keep growing in confidence and his parents should be very proud of the efforts they, and he, have been making! 👏

A little ‘Tuesday Tip’ for you to have some fun while practising alliteration with your child… use tongue twisters! 🌪️

Alliteration is the repetition of the same initial sounds in two or more neighbouring words (Tuesday Tip, practically perfect, the hippo was happy etc.).

This is a shorter version of the ‘Betty Botter’ tongue twister that I had learned for some reason many years ago 🤪 you can find the full version online or you might have a copy in a book!

Can your child learn a tongue twister and say it as quickly as possible? Can they create their own? 👅😅

Parents & school staff, can we all PLEASE remember that ‘team work makes the dream work’ on the return to school? 🏫

‘Back to school’ is looming, along with all of the emotions (good and bad) it can bring…

Whether you see this as a parent, member of school staff, or both, please let it be a little reminder to be patient and understanding as everyone starts the new school term.
It takes time to get good routines established and for everyone to feel settled (yes, I mean children AND adults).

A positive home-school relationship can have an incredible impact on children so if you’ve been harbouring any negative feelings or thoughts about school staff or parents, it’s time to let them go!

Everyone’s got a fresh start and I’d love for as many adults and children as possible to head into this academic year with a positive attitude, ready to have a great year!

Parents, slides 6-10 are for you and school staff, take a look at slides 12-16! 💛

Thinking of everyone preparing to head back to school – I hope this is a super year! ☺️
