The first Christmas card happened in the August classes, so we went back a few years to a very old technique. I expected a few groans - teabag folding! However, it is such a quick and easy card if you have a lot to make and uses up all your plain or patterned papers and it was well-received by all (or most!) The watercolour pencils came out for the lovely Katkin Krafts stamp set, Poppy Power and the third card was a panel die, double-sided adhesive paper and glitter, a few flowers and hearts and a perfect birthday or wedding card.
September already, and there are a few spaces in the September classes. No experience necessary and everything provided but booking is essential as the maximum number in each class is 6.

A huge thankyou to my Friday class for their kindness following my tumble in Tesco's carpark last Sunday. At my age we don't fall over, we 'have a fall'. I spent most of Sunday in A & E but the CT scan showed no fractures, probably no brain either. Good news was I didn't waste any crafting time, and the flowers from the Friday class match the bruises perfectly. Thankyou so much girls x

Wow, it's been hot! This happens every year just when I am getting ahead with Christmas designs, but we've managed to stay cool in the craftroom. No Christmas cards in the classes until August though, and then one a month until November. I will however, be putting extra classes in for just 'easy' Christmas cards - more details later.
For those who start early or who make cards for charities and craft fairs, Christmas stock is now on display. At least we have 6 months Christmas free, (but not necessarily glitter-free of course!)

Spaces for July are as given below - booking essential:

Tuesday 7th - 1.00 pm - 1 space
Saturday 11th 1.00 pm - 2 spaces
Tuesday 14th - 10.00 am - 2 spaces
Friday 24th 2.00 pm - 2 spaces

I have had to move the class from the 27th July to 1st August due to a band booking, still making 'July' cards, and there are 3 spaces at 2.00 pm.

What a lovely end to the month weatherwise. Nearly half-way through the year, this was my 'free' week of the month and I always like to design two or three months ahead. The intention was to start on the designs for you know what. You can guess how many I did!

There are a few spaces in classes in June:

Tuesday 2nd - 1.00 pm - 1 space
Friday 26th - 2.00 pm - 2 spaces
Saturday 27th - 2.00 pm - 2 spaces

Booking essential.

The end of another month, where is the time going. We had a bit of a special challenge this month in the classes - a pull-up card in a box with an acetate top. This was much enjoyed by most people, who allocated it to become a wedding card, anniversary card, silver or golden wedding card or a birthday card for someone really special. A lot of work but well worth it. We did fit in a card made with the Four Panel Window die from Sue Wilson's window collection and a Crafty Individuals stamp.

Class spaces for May are as follows:
Saturday 9th May at 1.00 pm - 2 spaces
Tuesday 12th May at 10.00 am - 2 spaces
Friday 22nd May at 2.00 pm - 2 spaces
Saturday 23rd May at 1.00 pm - 1 space

Booking is essential as I only take classes of up to 6 people.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday!

A very Happy Easter everybody. I've had a week off, so can't wait to get back to classes on Tuesday. Last month we made a quick and easy tree card using clingfilm, a card either for kids or for anyone who's a little bit crazy. The third card was met with the whole class 'knowing who we can send that to'! You could guess it involved wine.

I have some spaces for April, which are as follows:
Saturday 11th April at 1.00 pm - 2 spaces
Tuesday 14th April at 10.00 am - 2 spaces
Thursday 16th April at 2.00 pm - 1 space
Friday 24th April at 2.00 pm - 2 spaces
Saturday 25th April at 2.00 pm - 1 space

Let me know if you would like to swap your class or join us - everything provided and all the help you need.

Enjoy the weekend, hope the weather is kind.
