We like to follow the children's interests and involve them in planning for the club's activities. Here they have made some brainstorms of their ideas

Some of the rules our playscheme children came up with...

- Be welcoming
- Use kind words

This week the children have made cakes, played team games outside, had a pamper session and nail-painting session and got messy making slime!
It has been brilliant to see them racing around the playground competing in team games and cheering each other on.
When indoors they've really enjoyed playing board games including old favourites 'Scrabble' and 'Snakes and Ladders', as well as newer popular games like 'Dobble'.
They've taken part in lots of arts and crafts this week as they have continued decorating their room, created self-portraits and made lots of creations out of junk modelling.
They have made their own height chart, measured each other and displayed this up on the wall.
Next week they will be making their own wraps for lunch and will be creating a science board so watch this space...

This week the children have been making crystals and watching them develop over the course of the week. They have loved talking about and making posters of their favourite authors and favourite stories and have enjoyed lots of arts and crafts. They've decorated their room and put up their own displays showcasing their crafts.
They've taken part in cricket games, visited the park and enjoyed lots of outdoor fun on better weather days!
It has been lovely to see lots of new children this time, as well as children we've known and cared for for years.
We do have some places available on certain days so please feel free to let us know if you would like to book a session with us.

Today we've heard from hundreds of concerned schools and parents about the horrifying challenge which has reportedly been appearing in children's YouTube videos, causing panic and upset amongst young people. We hope you find our guide useful... https://nationalonlinesafety.com/resources/platform-guides/momo-online-safety-guide-for-parents

It has been a fun-packed week in the holiday playscheme club, and we've loved seeing lots of our old preschoolers come back to us along with new children from other local schools!
The room is still sparkling with glitter from the glittery slime making that went on this morning!
We've also done biscuit making, and the children loved choosing super-hero cutters to shape their biscuits.
We've had lots of arts and crafts going on, and the children made resources for their own made-up game.
We look forward to seeing everybody again in April!

Yesterday our after-school club children had great fun making and decorating the collection box for donations on "Wear It Red for Remembrance" Friday.
They always enjoy art and craft activities, and it's a great way for them to unwind after a tough day at school, get creative and hands-on whilst also learning about a very relevant and important topic.
They were very proud of the team effort and we're just as happy with the results!
