■This is the damage that can occur to children's
developing teeth, with prolonged and frequent dummy use.

■Dummy use can effect speech development /speech sounds too.

■Dummy use is habitual. Your child might initially protest at removal, but using strategies like distraction and being very consistent will soon help to reduce any negative behaviours, over the next few days. Once the boundary is established they will stop requesting. Keep going.

■When you are withdrawing, make sure you check rooms for any extras dummies that a child may find, or access themselves.

Unfortunately, we have had to close pre-school for the rest of this week due to staff shortages. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

It is not quite the same this year as schools are not offering open evenings as they would usually do. Contact the schools you may be interested in to see what they are offering as a viewing option for you.
