💚 Happy National Early Years SENCO Day! 💚

Today, 9th October, we’re celebrating our wonderful SENCO teams across Footsteps Nursery & Pre-School! 🌟

Every child is unique, and sometimes a little extra understanding, encouragement or support can make a world of difference.

Our dedicated SENCOs work closely with children, families and colleagues to ensure every child feels happy, included, valued and able to thrive in their own way.

With SENCO leads at each of our settings, supported by our experienced senior team, we’re proud of the knowledge, care and commitment that goes into supporting children with additional needs.

From celebrating the smallest milestones to helping children overcome challenges and grow in confidence, the difference our teams make is truly special. 💚

Autumn has certainly arrived in our creative corner as we experiment with leaf 🍁 printing as well as learning about symmetry. Conker rolling was great fun too and we enjoyed talking about what colours were made when the paint mixed.

🎉 A huge congratulations to Emma! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that Emma has achieved her Level 3 Early Years SENCO qualification! 👏💚

At Footsteps, we believe every child is different and deserves to feel happy, included, understood and supported. Having experienced, qualified SENCO support across our settings helps us recognise when a child may need a little extra help and find the approach that works best for them.

Emma will be helping to support our children at Footsteps Watermead, sharing knowledge and good practice to continue providing the very best support for our children and their families.

Whether it’s adapting an activity, supporting communication, building confidence or simply giving a child a little more time and encouragement, sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

Well done, Emma! This is a well deserved achievement and a wonderful addition to the support we can offer our Footsteps families! 🌟

Its been wonderful to be back this week and our children have loved being back with their friends. We have welcomed some new faces and have been so proud of how well they have settled! Its been fun inside and out and we can’t wait to see what adventures this term brings!
