🎃 HALF TERM 🎃

I love the break in classes for a couple of reasons. It gives me a chance to reflect on the term just gone, what I loved and what I can learn from.

🎄It also means planning all next terms sessions 🎄 It’s so much fun looking at what’s coming up, what songs we can sing and games we can play 🥳

I have two child free days to get it done and so far I’m in full procrastination mode…hoping by the end of the day I’ve got a few more scribbles on the page 😂 and some more tea in my tummy 🫖 🍪

We are so lucky to be provided with such brilliant stories and it’s important to do them justice with the various classes I offer 📚🎭

This weekend we got together as a network and shared lots of laughter and ideas! There is nothing more motivating than seeing others thrive and sharing ideas to make our businesses the best they can be.

I was also very honoured to receive the Developer award, recognising the growth in my business over the last year. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!

Coming back from the summer holidays to some lovely feedback is a fantastic way to start the term! I really love our Intergenerational sessions 💕

I have a monthly slot available on a Tuesday morning, if you work in a care home or have a family member in one and think they would enjoy these sessions too please let me know! I would love to share the magic with more Grandfriends!

Some lovely classes to finish the term. I’ve been treated to lovely flowers 🌺 thank you to everyone involved in making Debutots Aylesbury as fun as it is! This term has been an absolute blast! It’s sad to say goodbye to the children moving on but exciting to see the little ones getting bigger too 🎉

June is a very busy month in our house! Both my boys celebrate their birthdays so parties, multiple cakes and party bags have had my attention! 🎉🥳🤪

So it has gone under the radar a little that Debutots Aylesbury has also turned 2 years old this month! 🥳🥳🥳. This may be a little self indulgent but I wanted to share some of the things I’ve learnt about myself, changing careers and starting a business with you 🙃

1. I have the BEST cheerleaders in my friends and family, starting something new is scary and having people in my corner telling me they believe in me has been invaluable.

2. I can do scary things, doing something new the first time is scary but after that it’s fine! (Sometimes I have to repeat this to myself!)

3. I quite like living in stretch - I always thought I was a comfort zone kind of person but actually I really like testing myself. Although I do love actually being comfy, I’m very happy to wear trainers every day 😄

4. Being self employed is not without its challenges, you never switch off and are acutely aware that if you forget something it doesn’t happen! The joy is in choosing a work life that suits your personal life. 💕

5. Debutots Aylesbury is my third child. I want it to grow into a positive entity, I worry about it and celebrate its success and ultimately I’m always routing for it. I want it to bring joy to people around it and to give confidence to others (and myself) - pretty much like motherhood.

6. It’s okay to ask for help. The Debutots network is an amazing group of supportive, funny and talented individuals. It’s easy to compare at the start and wonder why things are different for you than others - but comparison really is the thief of joy. Learning from others who have selflessly supported me has been brilliant…thank you ☺️

7. Sometimes you just have to do the thing. Make the leap, take the risk and see what happens. Nothing in life is a guarantee so you may as well have fun along the way….and as it turned out it was a risk worth taking!
