Working hard this week at play and staying cool! Number recognition, water and ice play, zoo, splash parks, playgrounds and river visits, making predictions for sink and float, dinosaur wash, colour mixing….

Reading some of our favourite books about underwater creatures this week, Tiddler and Octopants on repeat! Learning about these amazing creatures with encyclopaedias, through play, yoga and getting creative.
Then ending the week with the aquarium 🐟🐡🐠🪼🦀🐚

Celebrating bees last week! Learning about how helpful they are, how much we need them and ways we can help them. Working on number recognition, maths, fine and gross motor skills and expanding our language as well as learning about our world and the amazing creatures in it 🐝🐝🐝

Getting outside and enjoying nature, making mud paint and creating marks with it, learning about different places with our ’passports’. Learning about how we can look after our planet by keeping the rivers and seas clean and lots more fun activities last week

Exploring mini beasts this week... lifecycles, patterns, colours, habitats and supporting number and letter recognition 🐞🐛🐜

Jack and the Beanstalk play through learning week. Number recognition, counting and ordering, fine motor skills strengthening with play dough, pasta beanstalk building and pegs. Threading, scooping and filling to work on maths and problem solving and letters and alphabet games. The little ones love shouting “Fe Fi Fo Fum” now too!
