Year 1 started their new book today, The Tiger who came to Tea. Having worked so hard in their phonics, we thought it was only right to have our own tea party and write invitations to see if the Tiger would join us. Later on the day, the tiger arrived, read us a story and we celebrated with some treats!

On Tuesday year 1 had their first trip to forest school. They listened to the story "The Great Big Den" and then in two teams - Squirrels and Foxes, built two magnificent dens. Year 1, Miss Potter was wowed by you all. Well done!

On Wednesday Ivy class went to forest school and loved exploring and playing in the year 1 dens. What a lovely week we have had in our woodland.

Acorn Class have been wonderfully creative over the past few weeks, exploring ideas across all areas of the classroom. Weโ€™ve seen fantastic Brio constructions, imaginative birthday cakes complete with candles in the mud kitchen, and impressive buildings in the block area. The children have also proudly completed their beautiful paintings inspired by the artist Wassily Kandinsky.
Well done, Acorn Class!

In our roots and shoots class we have had some incredible art work. Some of our younger children have been drawing and writing on paper and a screen, distinguishing between the different marks they make.
Children have been re creating representations of real objects and their own family and friends. We have been blown away by some of our young artists.

What a Tuesday and Wednesday Year 6 had! (In Miss Groucott's words, "It was the best Tuesday night ever!")

Camping under the stars was a huge success and the children were absolute superstars. They raced each other on the inflatable obstacle course, took part in a Bake Off in teams, put up tents (that didn't collapse), ate s'mores in Forest Schools, watched 'High School Musical' on a huge outdoor screen, were wide awake, raring to go at 4:20am (!!!!) and finally worked with the Word Guerilla man on rapping and doodling!!

Although there were some very, very tired children by 3:00pm on Wednesday, a great time was had by all and lots of memories to cherish forever were made.
