Attend free Music Cafés near you We run free Music Cafés across Greater Manchester. They’re designed to provide support to all who attend, delivering genuine care through the power of music. Music Cafés are organised and run by Manchester Camerata's Music in Mind programme to use music therapy-based principles to improve the health and wellbeing of people with dementia and their carers. Using handheld percussion instruments, participants will find new ways to communicate and have fun, whilst also discovering further support within their community.

Tips for turns with #GMArtist Chanell Cabrera, Principal with @baletndb🌪️ #repost @chanellcabrera_ 1) Do not move the supporting leg. 2) The muscles in your back need to be engaged. 3) Correct arm positioning (not too far, not too close). If your arms are in a good position, it’s a sign that your back is engaged. 4) The arms press down as you grow upwards. 5) Coordination: with the plié before the turn, one arm opens while the other closes quickly. If you are aged 14-19 and want to know more about careers in the dance industry, then make sure you apply before the 5th November.

A host of industry professionals will be leading sessions, including, just announced, Dance Artist Junior Cunningham, who will be giving tips on how to build a sustainable career in the sector.

Morning movement sessions will provide the opportunity to learn moves in the KPOP, Bhangra, and House Dance styles, amongst other styles included in the 3-days.
