Roots & Wings is designed for young people who will be starting secondary school in September 2026. Whether they are excited, nervous, shy, adventurous, or somewhere in between, this programme offers a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the next chapter while having fun outdoors.

Hey guys, I heard that some children can't make it to some of their high school transition programmes this year so I've created a 3-day woodland adventure programme that combines Forest School with outdoor adventure in a unique way for new year 7s to meet. The programme aims to deliver experiences that allow children to collaborate, gain skills and build in confidence together.
There will be dates for Byrchall, Cansfield and St Edmund Arrowsmith new starters.

🌳Woodland Adventure Club is open for summer🌳
🌳We have 12 spaces per day for 4 days in July and 3 days in August. Follow the link to see the exact dates.

We now offer tickets with extdended hours as well as our usual hours🙌You asked, we listened so we delivered 🙌

So, we have tickets that look like this:
1 day for 1 person, 10am-3pm (usual hours) OR
1 day for 1 person (extended hours), 8.30am-5.30pm

Prefect for those working long days with Wildlings at home.

There is something for everyone no matter their previous experience of Forest School.

Our relaxed sessions allow us to get to know our young people and run the day at their pace based on their interests. No pressure, no criticism but respect for all.

Our sessions are facilitated by a qualified teacher and Forest School Leader. All adults are DBS checked and we have Outdoor and Paediatric First aiders.

We’re Balsam pulling this Saturday (6th June) if anyone is interested in joining us?

A lovely species from the Himalayas but because it has an amazing talent for survival it also means it has become invasive.

Meeting at 10am at the entrance by Berrington Grove and staying for as long as you like. I’ll show you how to identify it, how to pull it out and how to stop it growing back. It’s very satisfying! You may want to bring some gardening gloves as some are with nettles and brambles 🌱🌱
