Final call for our Home Educating Explorers…

This Wednesday (9th September) we begin our monthly ‘drop off’ sessions at Wise Oak Forest School for children age 6 and over.

We are firm believers of children leading the way in following their own lines of enquiry whilst adults are facilitators.

Children can choose to hang hammocks, make rope swings and build dens. They can choose to use tools (with Forest School Leaders) to whittle and craft. They can make up games, paint, draw or practise fire craft. The choices are endless.

Why do we let children lead and have no set schedule? We want children to have ownership of their learning because each child is unique. They can take things at their own pace, they can build confidence in the things that interest them. We aim to build confidence and resilience in the children in our care. So much so that this week we are offering BUY ONE GET ONE FREE so our young explorers can bring a friend or sibling for free. Comfort zones can be tricky so why not have a friend by your side when you need them 😃
