Ending the session with a quick interactive quiz to reinforce learning in a fun and engaging way.
Tools like Quizalize help keep students motivated, focused, and confident, even at the end of a session.
A great way to finish strong!

Iâve recently opened up an earlier slot at 4pm, which has freed up a couple of additional spaces during the week!
Evening slots tend to fill quite quickly, so if youâve been thinking about extra support for your child, now could be a good time to get started.

Itâs come round quickly, but weâre already nearing the end of half term đ
This is usually the point where things start to become a bit clearer. Whatâs going well, and what still needs a bit of work.
Whether itâs preparing for the 11+, SATs, or just building confidence and catching up, now is a great time to focus on those areas and start making real progress.
Small, consistent steps can make a big difference over time!
If youâre thinking about extra support for your child, feel free to message me.

Something new Iâve introduced for all my studentsâŚ
From this month, every child I work with will receive a monthly progress report.
Not just scores, but a clear breakdown of:
âď¸ What theyâre doing well
âď¸ What weâre working on
âď¸ Where theyâre heading next
Iâve found that parents often donât get to see the progress happening week by week, so this is a really nice way to keep you fully in the loop.
It also helps the children feel proud of how far theyâve come, which is just as important!
If youâd like your child to receive structured support like this alongside their sessions, feel free to drop me a message!

One of the most common things I hear from parents is how quickly homework time can turn into a bit of a battle!
What should be a quick task somehow turns into frustration, either because their child doesnât understand it, or theyâre thinking âI donât remember learning it like thisâŚâ
Most of the time, itâs not that they canât do it. Theyâve just got stuck on one small step, and everything after that starts to feel way harder than it actually is.
Slowing things down and focusing on that one step first can make a huge difference
Does homework ever turn into a struggle in your house?

Learning doesnât have to mean sitting at a table with worksheets. We make the most of every space to keep sessions engaging and enjoyable. If the sunâs shining, weâll head outside! Whether itâs working at the table or relaxing on the egg chair, your child chooses what helps them learn best.
If this sounds like the perfect tutoring environment for your child, feel free to send me a message!

A lot of children struggle with word problems, not because they canât do the maths, but because they donât know where to start.
One simple way to help is to get them to find the numbers in the question first, then work out what operation is needed (add, subtract, multiply or divide).
Breaking it down like this makes a big difference to their confidence đ
What does your child find hardest in maths at the moment?
If this sounds like a struggle in your house, message to reserve one of my remaining slots!

A lot of children donât struggle with maths because they âcanât do itââŚ
They struggle because theyâve missed small steps along the way.
If any of these signs feel familiar, feel free to message me for support and advice.
