Little Oaks are excited to announce that we will be running our apprenticeship programme again in September 2026.

We are looking for people aged 16-18 years to apply for this role, it is a great opportunity to achieve a childcare qualification while working within a setting and gaining first hand experience.

Jellyfish Sighting – Folkestone Coastline 🪼

We have started to receive reports of jellyfish being spotted along the Folkestone coastline.

Fortunately, the UK does not normally experience the highly dangerous jellyfish species found in some other parts of the world. However, jellyfish can still cause painful stings and should be treated with caution.
If you spot a jellyfish:
✅ Avoid touching it, even if it appears dead on the beach.
✅ Keep children and dogs away from stranded jellyfish.
✅ Give jellyfish plenty of space when swimming.
✅ Report any significant sightings to our lifeguards.

If you are stung and require assistance, our volunteer lifeguards are available on the beach and can provide first aid and advice.
