Tip Tuesday - The "End of Day" Ritual
How do you leave work at work?
✨Try a 'Transition Ritual.' It could be tidying your desk for 2 minutes, listening to a specific podcast on the drive home, or physically changing your clothes as soon as you walk through the door.
This tells your brain: 'The teaching day is done. The rest of the day belongs to me.'"

Tip Tuesday - The "Hot Drink" Ritual
Sometimes, the best self-care is a hot cup of tea that you actually get to finish! ☕️
Use your beverage break as a 'Tech-Free Zone.' No emails, no marking—just 5 minutes of warmth and quiet.

We mentioned in our 'Boundary Boost' post yesterday, that we would share some examples of how to 'say no nicely.'
Setting boundaries is often the hardest part of being an educator because the "culture of care" makes us want to say yes to everything.
Here are five examples of how to say "no" nicely, categorised by common school scenarios:
✨A colleague or lead asks for help with a task while you’re mid-planning or about to head home.
✨A member of leadership asks you to take on a new project or extra duty.
✨Parents or staff emailing late at night or over the weekend.
✨A student or colleague asks you to do something they can find elsewhere.
✨Being asked to join an extra committee or after-school club when you’re already feeling burnt out.
Setting boundaries isn't about being unhelpful; it's about being sustainably helpful.
It allows you to give your best when it truly counts, without burning out.
Which of these scripts will you try next week? Share your thoughts below! 👇"

✨ Mindful Monday: Your 1-Minute Desk Reset ✨
Feeling that familiar Monday morning rush? Before the bell rings or the emails pile up, take just 60 seconds to re-centre yourself right where you are. This isn't about clearing your mind; it's about bringing gentle awareness to the present moment.
Here's your quick Desk Reset:
✨Feet Grounded: Sit upright with both feet flat on the floor. Feel the contact with the ground.
✨Shoulder Roll: Gently roll your shoulders back and down, releasing any tension you might be holding.
✨Soft Gaze: Let your eyes soften. If comfortable, lower your gaze or gently close them.
✨Listen to Your Breath: Place one hand on your belly. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your breath. Don't change it, just observe it for 5-10 slow breaths.
✨Notice Sounds: Gently expand your awareness to include any sounds around you, without judgment.
✨Return Gently: When you're ready, slowly open your eyes or lift your gaze, and bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
That's it! One minute. No fancy equipment, no quiet room needed. Just a small pause to bring peace into your busy day.
How did that feel? Let us know if you tried it! 👇
