Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic send-off on their final day, taking part in a drive-by celebration filled with beeping horns, water pistols and lots of smiles.

Lined along the route, pupils, staff and parents cheered and clapped as they passed by, making it a truly memorable way to mark the end of their time with us. Wishing them all the very best for their next adventure!

Time for a Prep Takeover! ⭐

It was Hugo's turn to step into the role of Head for the Day, and he embraced every part of the job!

He started the morning by welcoming everyone at the main entrance before presenting certificates and awards to proud pupils at the Pre-Prep Mini Prizegiving. To round off a busy and memorable day, he joined the staff team at the Senior School Sports Day, helping with the event and seeing what it's like on the other side of the whistle.

It was lovely to see Hugo take on the role with such confidence and positivity. Well done, Hugo! 👏🎉

What an incredible fortnight ArtsFest26 was!

From kicking off with the Junior Drama Collected Works, where some performers stepped onto the stage for the very first time, to our final One Show Metamorphosis performance on Somerville Lawn, it was a magnificent celebration of the creative and performing arts at Ashford School.

Bringing a festival of this scale to life takes an enormous amount of dedication, and we are incredibly grateful to our staff for their talent, expertise and enthusiasm. Thank you to everyone who choreographed, directed, advised, accompanied and helped shape the festival behind the scenes. Your commitment made it possible to end the academic year on such a high.

To our performers, thank you for your confidence, creativity and good humour in producing such memorable performances and inspiring works of art.

And finally, thank you to everyone who joined us throughout the festival. It was wonderful to welcome so many members of our community onsite, and we are so grateful for your support and encouragement.

And just like that, another year has flown by and the final day of term arrived last Friday! There was a real buzz of excitement as we came together to celebrate the achievements and successes of our pupils at Prize Giving. While it was sad to say goodbye to our fantastic Year 6 leavers, we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and wish them every success as they begin an exciting new chapter. Congratulations to all our prize winners and thank you for making this year at Ashford Prep School so memorable.

We are delighted to have been commended in two categories at the Independent School of the Year Awards 2026: Independent Pre-Prep School of the Year and Co-ed Independent School of the Year!

These achievements are a wonderful reflection of the passion and dedication found across Ashford Prep School and Ashford Senior School. Recognition such as this is only possible because of the enthusiasm and hard work of our pupils, the commitment and expertise of our staff, and the invaluable support of our parents and wider school community.

What a beautiful Leavers' Service this morning at Saint Mary's Church in Great chart. Wishing all our Year 6 pupils every success and happiness as they begin their next exciting chapter. The Year 5 Choir barely left a dry eye as they sung the anthem ‘The Lord Bless You and Keep You’. As usual prayers and readings were delivered with clarity and confidence by our Year 6 leaders and Mrs Archer. The message to our Year 6 was to "Shine like Stars" wherever their journey takes them. A lovely end to our School year.

Year 6 enjoyed their bright and groovy Sixties Day with a range of activities from music to fashion to making their own black and white TV advert for a retro toy. The children finished off their day with a water fight followed by a BBQ and ice cream station, ahead of their Leavers' Celebration.

What a day for the Green Goblin Club at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit on Sunday! Under glorious sunshine, over 100 go karts from schools across the UK - and even Australia - hit the track. Our Goblins raced brilliantly, showing teamwork, skill, and the payoff of all their hard work building fast, reliable karts. Families lined the circuit with picnics and cheers, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. A fantastic day all round - well done Goblins!

What a fabulous treat – one of our extremely generous Year 2 parents very kindly arranged for an ice cream van to be waiting as children left School on Friday afternoon. They were able to enjoy a super cool ice cream at the end of a very hot week! Thank You.
