Holy Trinity Playgroup We are a committee-run playgroup with a friendly team of experienced, qualified practitioners. Fun and friendship with children and other adults.

We offer your child:
A specially tailored curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes. Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children. The support of a personal key person, whose role it is to build a special relationship with both child and parent, and to be the first point of contact should any queries or problems arise. Today we are doing a motor skills activity ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿผ

Using their fingers, the children are carefully pulling strips of colourful tape from the table top. This exercise is great for strengthening hands in preparation for pen holding, and also encourages children to concentrate and problem solve. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜Š

A very warm welcome to all of our new families, and a huge welcome back to all of our returning families! The summer holiday is over and we are back at playgroup, ready for a fantastic new school year. We hope everyone had a wonderful break.

We would like to share the amazing new resources that playgroup have been able to purchase thanks to the money raised from our summer fair. We couldnโ€™t do this without the continuous support of our families, so thank you so much. โค๏ธ

Today we had some very special visitors from Wild Science! The children got to meet Sammy the snail, Colin the cockroach, Martin the millipede, Tuck the tortoise and Jitter the corn snake!

Thank you once again to Wild Science for bringing such amazing animals and creatures for the children to experience. Everyone had a wonderful time holding and touching the animals. All hands were sanitised after ๐Ÿ๐Ÿชณ๐Ÿข๐ŸŒ

This morning the children had a teddy bears picnic outside with their cuddly toys from home. After a yummy snack, the children all enjoyed a nice cold ice lolly kindly brought in by a parent, as itโ€™s one of our little girls birthdays today!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the very kind grandparent who donated money for us to buy the children ice cream today. All the children had a little bowl of ice cream for their snack today and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿจ

Shiv is doing some England flag face and body painting, and we also have a mini football game in the tuff spot! The children are using their fine motor skills to flick the pom poms into the goals ๐Ÿฅ…๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

We also have some water play again, this time with sea creatures. The children have been talking all about the creatures in the water and what kinds of animals live in the sea ๐ŸŒŠ

We are enjoying some water play today in the nice weather โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ

Water play is a fun, hands on way for children to develop their motor skills and also practice their social skills, as conversations naturally occur when the children are enjoying an activity together.

The have been scooping up reusable ice cubes out of the water with little nets, and collecting them in bowls. They have been sharing the ice cubes they have collected with each other.

This afternoon we have the water table out. We are having a lovely Friday ๐Ÿ’›
