What an amazing first Hybrid Safety Training LTD x Devon Tarmasters Charity Padel Tournament! 🎉🎾

It was such a fun afternoon bringing together local construction companies for a bit of friendly competition, followed by pizza and a raffle to round it off. 🍕

We have now surpassed our fundraising target 🥳 and all funds raised from the event have been donated to Hospiscare, a fantastic local charity that provides care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families across our community.

It was great to see 12 teams take part and so many people coming along to support the event. What a brilliant turnout! (Luckily, we had the weather on our side! ☀️)

Congratulations to DSigns for taking home first place... although we think a rematch might be on the cards! 👀

A special mention goes to JHB UK LTD and Aardvark Hire Ltd for proudly (we think) taking home the wooden spoons! 🙃 And to Georgia Brooks from Hospiscare for coming along to help set up and run the event with us!

And a final thank you to the local businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes. We had some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Absolutely loved it, playing our fave hobby, in the sun, whilst raising money! Devon Tarmasters, and we can't wait to do it all again next year! 🥰

We're looking forward to hosting our very first Construction Padel Tournament, this Friday at Torquay Tennis Club alongside Devon Tarmasters.

The event is raising money for the fantastic local charity, Hospiscare, and we couldn't do it without the support of the Companies taking part and prize donors!

We've partnered up with Devon Tarmasters to raise vital funds for Hospiscare, Devon to enable them to continue delivering the life-changing and invaluable service they provide. 🫂

We're on the look out for few extra teams to join us for a laid back and enjoyable afternoon, with a bit of healthy competition of course! 👀

We are a little late to the party, but well done to Dan on passing his T001 refresher with NPORS! 🥳

Dan continuously drives standards at HST and is a great member of our team. We look forward to having Dan continue to deliver T001 courses to the industry.

5 out of 7 challenges DONE! 🙌

This weekend, Abs completed the Outlaw 70.3 Triathlon as part of her seven-month challenge series for Hospiscare, in partnership with Raceworld Karting for the Devon Business League / Construction Cup!

Here's what she took on:
🏊‍♀️ 1,500m swim (reduced from 1,900m due to water temp and algae)
🚴‍♀️ 56 miles on the bike
🏃‍♀️ 13.1 mile run

It wasn't the race she wanted “everything that could go wrong, went wrong”, but it was the race she got — and she kept going anyway. Because the bigger picture and the why always matters. That why? Raising awareness and vital funds for Hospiscare🩷

We are SO proud of her. 2 challenges left, with the next one being 100 miles over Dartmoor on the bike. No big deal 😂

💨 Round 2 at the Raceworld Karting Ltd Construction Cup and WE WON!

(The quiz) 🤓

And.. WE WERE FIRST

(For two laps) 👀

We may have accidentally pitted an extra 3 times than needed (bad team comms) so we will blame our fall from grace (finished 10th) on that!!

But we had fun and ate lot's of pizza 🍕

HST has the next fitness challenge this weekend, Exeter Marathon! As we are still continuing to push ourselves and raise vital funds for Hospiscare. 🩵

We have also added another challenge which is cycling the Dartmoor Classic, 107 miler with 2,777ft elevation in June!

We’ve now raised 60% of our funding target, which is incredible! We are so grateful to everyone who has already donated and appreciate any further donations to help support free end-of-life and palliative care ♥️
