Our EYFS pupils at Captain's Close Primary School Discovery have all settled into school life well, learning new routines, getting to know school staff, making new friends and exploring their new classroom. They have been very curious learners engaging beautifully with each other, they have been a joy to watch.

We know that many of our families have quite a journey to school, whether that's a long walk or a daily bus journey, and we understand that travel costs can sometimes be challenging.

We would love to encourage our school community to support one another where possible. If you are looking for help with transport to or from school, or if you may be able to offer support to another family, please feel free to let us know.
For everyone's privacy and safety, please do not share personal details publicly in the comments. Instead, simply indicate that you would like support or are able to help, and then contact the school via direct message so arrangements can be discussed privately.

If any transport-sharing arrangements are made, we kindly ask that these are also communicated with the school. This helps us ensure we know who is collecting or bringing children to school and supports our safeguarding procedures.
