During London Olympic year 2012, our Year 7 hockey team had a visit from GB Hockey Squad members Helen Richardson, and captain of the team, Kate Walsh.
The GB team went on to win a bronze medal at the 2012 Games when they beat New Zealand 3-1.

Happy 🌞

It was just over a year ago that Eric, our Groundsman of 36 years, retired and become officially an alumni! Some members of our Charters family leave a lasting mark on the school community, and Eric is certainly one of them.

Many of you will remember Eric from your own time at Charters, and we're always delighted when he pops back to visit. Seeing familiar faces return is a wonderful reminder that once you're part of the Charters community, you'll always have a place here.

If you've been meaning to come back and see how the school has changed, catch up with former teachers, or even organise a reunion with your year group, we'd love to help. Simply email [email protected], and once we're back in September, we'll be happy to help you plan your visit.

Apologies for the radio silence last week - it was a busy one following the Literary Festival & Summer Fayre! We want to say a huge thank you to Guy who came and manned the Alumni Hub for the entire time - and to everyone who came to visit it. I'm so cross with myself for not taking any photos of the Hub - rookie mistake - and I would love to find out who the three friends were who had especially met up to come to the fayre. I didn't get your names when you were introduced to me - if you are reading please get in touch!

It was a fun day - very hot - and we hope everyone who was there had a great time. I'm just posting one of my favourite photos from the day - current Headteacher Mr Fletcher taking on the time-honoured sponging that always goes down a treat.
