🌿Good Luck to all school starters this year!🌿

To everyone who has been part of our sessions and are heading off to school-we hope you have the best of times and we will sure miss you all!

An extra special good luck to those choosing a different path too — whether you’re home educating or deferring (like we are with our little mascot Nye! ❤️) we hope you have a wonderful year full of adventures, learning and lots of time outdoors. 🌱

Some of you have been with us from the very beginning and it’s been lovely to grow with you all! We are especially excited to start meeting some of your younger brothers and sisters at our sessions! 🥰

Please dont worry… you haven’t seen the last of Whittle and S’more! We’ll be running some weekend family days too, so our bigger Whittle & S’more children can still come back and get muddy with us! 🌳🔥 These will be advertised very soon, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀

🌿 AUTUMN TERM AT WHITTLE & S’MORE 🌿

Our new term of outdoor parent & child sessions begins Monday 14th September.

Come and slow down with us amongst the trees, where little ones can explore, discover and learn through nature, play and their own curiosity. 🍂

Each week brings a new seasonal theme, with opportunities to:

🪵 create and build with natural materials
🌿 explore the changing woodland
🐛 observe and discover the little things around us
🔥 gather around the campfire
🤎 enjoy open-ended, child-led play
🌱 develop confidence, independence and practical skills

Our woodland space is designed to give children the freedom to explore at their own pace, while grown-ups have space to connect, chat and enjoy being outdoors together.

5 weekly sessions | From Monday 14th September

£10 PAYG
£45 for a block of 5

🌿 LET THEM GET MUDDY. LET THEM EXPLORE. LET THEM GROW. 🌿

My little boy has been coming to Forest School since before he could walk, and watching what being outdoors has given him has been so lovely.

His confidence has grown, he’s become more comfortable taking safe risks, and his love and curiosity for the natural world just keeps growing. He’ll happily spend ages searching for bugs, watching wildlife and getting stuck into whatever the seasons bring. 🐛🍂

I love seeing children discover that they can do things for themselves — getting muddy, climbing, exploring, trying something new, and learning to be gentle and respectful towards the world around them. ❤️

If you’d like your little one to grow in confidence and develop their own love of the outdoors, we’d love to have you join us this September. 🌱

Thank you everyone for joining us at our Teddy Bears Picnic today! We had a wonderful morning and it was so lovely to see many new faces and lots of our regulars attend 🙂 Bookings for our September term will be going live shortly so please keep an eye out!

🌴Hi everyone-We’re back from our holiday!🌴

What a lovely surprise to come home too-a special delivery kindly donated to us from Woodland Julie’s Wonders ❤️

There is lots to do now that we are back, our new term dates will be released this week, there are some extra plans to make for the new term, a few small changes and evolving the business slowly.

Over the next few weeks we will be securing the Forest School area more efficiently using the kindly donated funds from the GoFundMe and replacing damaged equipment and resources before the new term starts. This funding will undoubtedly help to strengthen the business and help us to recover, rebuild and move forward 🙂Again, I am truly thankful and i’d like to be open and honest about how the funds will be spent ❤️

We have our last summer pop up session this Wednesday and I will message everyone attending with the last few details tomorrow 🙂

🌴Tree maintenance! Fuerteventura style! 🌴
We are currently taking a little break away in Fuerteventura, and with my slight obsession of trees i’ve been fascinated this morning around the current maintenance surrounding their palm trees 🤔

☀️It seems that 75% of palm trees of the whole island are currently affected by four-spotted palm weevil which causes premature dying and collapse of leaves from the crown which you can see with the browning and discolouring of the leaves.

🏝️Fuerteventura has a dedicated 2026 programme to control and eradicate the problem of palm weevil.
So here they are, applying a treatment to the crown of the trees to rid them of the palm weevil.

I learnt something new today and found it quite interesting-hope you do too! 🙂🌴

If you’ve been part of Whittle & S’more for a while, you’ll know our little campfire logo has been with us from the very beginning. 🔥

But just like the children, families and community who have grown alongside us, Whittle & S’more is growing too.

What started as Forest School for little ones is becoming something broader — creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect with nature, learn new skills, slow down and enjoy being outdoors.

So we’ve given Whittle & S’more a little evolution. 🌿
