We can’t wait to welcome our new Year 7 students through the Welcome Arch on Thursday 3 September as you begin your journey with us.

A reminder that students should arrive for an 8:30am start and bring a packed lunch for their first day. Please bring in your PE kit as some classes may have this on their timetable during the day.

Families are very welcome to join us to watch this special moment, cheer students on as they walk through the arch, and take photographs to mark the start of their secondary school adventure.

We are looking forward to seeing you all soon!

It was wonderful to welcome back students and their families to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE outcomes.

Head Teacher, Mrs Sarah Holman, said:

“I am delighted that so many children have achieved such impressive results this year. This is testament to their high aspirations, commitment and determination to do their very best. It has been lovely for our staff to share this special moment with students and their families, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.”

Exceptional individual performances include Lily, Finn, Elle, Genevieve, Alana and Lyra.

Attainment and Progress remain strong across the board, with particularly impressive results in English, Music, Science, French, Drama and Art.

We would like to say congratulations to all students on their results and thank them for the positive contribution they have made to our school community. We know they have bright futures ahead of them and we look forward to hearing about their ongoing success on whatever path they choose.

Go and be brilliant! We will miss you but remember, you will always be a friend of Eggar’s.

Good luck to all our students collecting their GCSE results tomorrow!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, resilience and hard work our students have shown throughout their journey. Whatever tomorrow brings, we celebrate all that they have achieved.

We warmly welcome parents and families to join us at school as students receive their results envelopes. We look forward to sharing this special moment with you and celebrating their successes together.

A fantastic achievement for Eggar’s alumna Louise Small, who helped Great Britain secure team gold in the women’s marathon at the European Championships on Sunday.

Louise left Eggar’s in 2008, having already represented her country at international level while still a student here. Her dedication, determination and talent were evident from an early age, and it is wonderful to see her continuing to achieve success on the international stage.

We are incredibly proud of Louise and all that she has accomplished. Congratulations from everyone at Eggar’s on this outstanding achievement!

Over 130 of our incoming Year 7 students joined us for this year’s Summer Camp, taking part in a fantastic range of activities including cooking, Soccer Schools UK, forest school, Design & Technology and much more.

The camp provided a brilliant opportunity for students to make new friends, build confidence and settle some of those pre-September nerves ahead of starting their secondary school journey.

We were incredibly proud of every student who attended. Their enthusiasm, positivity and willingness to get involved made the week such a success.
A huge thank you must also go to our amazing staff who gave up their time to run the activities and create such memorable experiences.

One of the biggest talking points of the camp was our exciting Spin the Wheel brick phone giveaway, made possible thanks to a generous East Hants grant. The 40 lucky winners now have the opportunity to trial their phones over the summer holidays and keep them if they wish, helping them prepare for a more focused start in September. A big push as school to move away from smart phone use by our students.

We’re delighted to welcome back our fantastic community partners, Soccer Schools this summer with an exciting programme of inclusive, action-packed holiday activities at Eggar’s School!

Arts Day - Led by our very own talented Miss Presco, this highly creative day is the perfect opportunity for young artists to explore, create and be inspired through a range of engaging art workshops.

Magic Dan – Prepare to be amazed with an unforgettable day of magic, fun and entertainment!
