🌟🌟School’s Out for Summer 🌟🌟

💚Thank you to all our lovely families for your support this academic year and for choosing our school. We are so grateful for your kind words and gifts that you have given to the staff that look after your child.

School is closed to children tomorrow as it is an Inset Day.

Children return to school on Monday 7th September.

🖌️ 🎨 Community Art Showcase 🖼️ ✍️

💚Thank you so much to our families and members of our local community for coming into school this week to share our whole school outcome for this term’s Art and Design Enquiry.

🎨 Our children showcased their blossoming talents for painting, sculpture, sewing, building, constructing, crafting, drawing, sketching, collaging and so much more!

👩🏼‍🎨 Our children have studied a diverse range of artists from African American artist Henry Tanner to Brazilian Artist Beatriz Milhazes. Children have also studied the techniques of Claude Monet, Paul Klee and Andy Warhol amongst others.

🖼️ The work displayed shows the care, attention and pride that children have put into their final showcase pieces and we enjoyed sharing out sketch books and ideas with you all.

🌎 Our Eco Team superstars were out and about today at play time and lunch time.

🌎 They helped Mr H w**d some of the areas in school with plants, swept around the main entrance and ensured any litter was picked up that had blown onto our playground.

☀️Temperatures are set to rise again over the next few days ☀️

💚Children are welcome to come in comfy, cool clothes tomorrow-Friday.

🏏 PE lessons this week will be relaxed and in the shade or inside

💦 Please ensure your child has their water bottle in school. Children have these on tables and can refill them whenever they’re empty.

☀️ Children need hats to go outside at lunch time and/or playtime.

🧴 Children can bring suncream to top this up themselves

We will decide on each day individually whether lunch times are outdoors or indoors dependent on the daily temperature.

Happy Friday everyone!
We made it 🌟

Thank you so much for trusting us with your children this week. We know the weather has been extreme.

The children have been absolutely brilliant!

I don’t think any of us have ever eaten as many ice pops or ice lollies! Quite a few of the children have asked me if we get them every day at school now 🤣. Nice try!

The weather looks to be cooling down again next week. Normal school uniform from Monday please.
