A fantastic start to the year for our BBSCITT trainees!

Our new cohort recently came together for a programme of professional studies, exploring key areas of teacher training including safeguarding and professional responsibilities. These sessions provide an important foundation as trainees begin their journey into the teaching profession. They also worked in groups in with their Lead Partner to look at routines and expectations, which is embedded right at the start of our ITT programme.

Today we celebrate and acknowledge World Teacher Day. This is a global celebration that highlights work teachers do on a daily basis, as well as to recognise teachers' rights and mark how the work they do in the classroom has the ability to transform lives.
We are fortunate to have dedicated and talented teaching staff that work tirelessly to ensure pupils at the school achieve the best outcomes and are as prepared for life after school as much as they can be.

Could you help shape the future of SEND education across Matrix Academy Trust?

We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEND professional to join the Board of Trustees at Matrix Academy Trust.

This is an opportunity to use your knowledge, experience and expertise to help ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities receive the very best education, support and opportunities across our schools.

As a Trustee, you will play an important role in providing strategic challenge, insight and oversight, helping us continue to improve SEND provision across the Trust.

We would particularly welcome interest from people with significant experience in SEND, inclusion, specialist education, autism, educational leadership or related fields.

If you have the expertise, passion and commitment to help us deliver Education Without Exception, we would love to hear from you.

Today we’re celebrating every member of staff across our trust who makes a difference to our pupils each and every day.

You are the calm in the chaos, the finder of lost jumpers, the fixer of photocopiers and the champions of our children.

Through every busy day, timetable change, forgotten PE kit, mystery corridor smell and “quick question” email… you continue to show up with dedication, patience, humour and care.

You change lives in ways big and small, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

"As we return from half term, it feels so strange to think that there are now only six weeks left of the course! With just one assignment remaining (a professional reflective conversation) and 6 weeks teaching a 18 hours, the finish line is in sight! I genuinely cannot believe how quickly this year has gone. I remember hearing people say that once January arrives, the rest of the school year disappears in a blink, and they were not wrong!.."
