🌍✈️ A Taste of the World at Adventureland! ✈️🌍

Yesterday the children enjoyed a wonderful food-tasting experience as we explored different countries from around the world through food, culture and conversation.

👶 Ladybird Room (0–2 years) – Spain 🇪🇸
The children enjoyed tasting a selection of Spanish-inspired foods including meats, olives, salsa, fresh fruit and frittata.

🦋 Butterflies – Morocco 🇲🇦
Our Butterflies explored the flavours of Morocco, tasting cinnamon oranges, couscous, pitta bread, hummus, strawberries, yoghurt and more.

🐉 Dragonflies – France 🇫🇷
The children sampled a variety of delicious French treats, including crêpes, croissants, pain au chocolat and madeleine cakes. They also enjoyed savoury favourites such as quiche, meats and cheeses.

🎓 Preschool – Japan 🇯🇵
Our Preschool children enjoyed tasting noodles, bao buns, apple and kiwi flavoured Oreo biscuits, panda biscuits and Mikado sticks while learning about Japanese culture.

As well as tasting foods from around the world, the children explored each country's flag, looked at photographs of the different places and talked about what life might be like there. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce the children to different cultures, traditions and tastes while encouraging them to try new foods.

👑⚽🇬🇧 King's Cups & Celebrations Week 🇬🇧⚽👑

Yesterday, we kicked off our King's Cups & Celebrations Week by celebrating the King's Birthday!

The children and staff came dressed in red, white and blue, with many also proudly wearing their favourite football shirts as we begin a week of celebrations centred around the King's Birthday, the World Cup and Father's Day. ❤️🤍💙

The children enjoyed making their own royal crowns before gathering together for a special tea party fit for a king! 👑☕

We also danced and sang along to some British legends, with everyone showing off their best moves and having lots of fun together. 🎶💃🕺

It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, music, friendship and plenty of smiles. We can't wait to continue the fun throughout the rest of our King's Cups & Celebrations Week! ⚽🎨🍕🎉

🏰 A Peek Inside Dragonflies 🏰

Dragonflies is our room for children before they move into Preschool, providing the perfect opportunity to build confidence, independence and friendships before taking the next step in their nursery journey.

Through our current topic, Tales, Fantasy and Fun, the children have been exploring traditional stories such as The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Gingerbread Man, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Little Pigs. These exciting experiences help develop communication, creativity, problem-solving and early literacy and maths skills.

What a lovely Play & Stay session we had today in our Dragonfly Room! ❤️

A huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents who joined us. We had a fantastic turnout and it was wonderful to see everyone spending time together, joining in with activities and sharing special moments with the children.

The children loved having their special visitors in Nursery and were excited to show them around, play together and share their learning experiences.

Today we celebrated National Bee Day at nursery and had so much fun! 🐝💛

The children enjoyed lots of exciting bee-themed activities throughout the day, including creative crafts, sensory play, fine motor activities, and learning all about our little buzzing friends. We also shared some lovely stories together and explored some beautiful bee-themed books 📚✨

Our staff even dressed up for the occasion, which the children absolutely loved! 🐝🖤💛

It has been a lovely day full of learning, laughter, and busy little bees! 🌼🐝

💪 Building fine motor and gross motor skills
🔢 Exploring numbers through play
🧗 And of course, having lots of fun exploring our playframe!

Our Crazy Hair Day for Red Nose day was full of creativity, colour and lots of giggles. The children absolutely loved showing off their amazing styles — and we think the grown-ups had just as much fun getting involved too! 💇‍♀️🎉”

📚✨ World Book Day at Adventureland! ✨📚

We had a fantastic day celebrating the magic of books! The children enjoyed lots of stories, book-themed activities and sharing their favourite books from home.

There were some amazing costumes from both the children and staff! To celebrate, one child from each room was awarded a medal for the best costume. 🏅

🌟 Sponsored Read Superstar! 🌟

We are so proud to celebrate Thea, one of our amazing children who raised an incredible £100 during our Sponsored Read! 📚👏

This was the highest amount raised, and as a special well done she received some lovely new books and a trophy from Usborne Books to recognise her fantastic effort and love for reading.

Thanks to the support of our wonderful families, we raised £332.50 in total, and with Usborne’s generous contribution this brings the grand total to £532 worth of books for our nursery! 📖✨

A huge thank you to Jess at Freya's Fables for organising our sponsored read and helping us bring so many fantastic new books into the nursery.

These new books will help inspire a love of reading, imagination and language across the setting.
