Networking 🤝
This morning was spent hosting a wonderful coffee with local businesses on our business park. It was brilliant to see everyone chatting and making connections. Above all, my favourite thing as a business owner is seeing The Cookery Lab full of people and energy. I’m just always too busy making the coffee and hosting to take any pictures in the moment 😂

At the start of January a lovely group braved the snow to join us for an evening of cooking comfort food, in the first of our new monthly series. It was lovely to watch people who arrived as strangers, cook and eat together, sharing a common language of a love of food. Next month is fast approaching. I took a brief pause from a post-class clean up this week to have a tasting with Callum from who has helped curate a delicious wine list for us for 2026. We are looking forward to being part of your celebrations, occasions and get-togethers next year 🥂🍾

Wow! What a week! It ended with some beautiful gingerbread houses made by some lovely families. Wonderful to see Mums and Dads, with sons and daughters, working together to build something. Here are just a few of the creations we witnessed.

Earlier in the week we hosted a private workshop some fabulous tweens who wanted to learn to make sushi (and we also made some festive cookies 🍪); and a trial run of a new regular networking cookery workshop that we have been asked to host in the new year.

And in the middle of it all my conversation with the fabulous Rhona and Colline from .tales.podcast was aired - have a listen where you get your podcasts if you haven’t tuned in. It has been lovely to be welcomed into such a warm community of supportive local business owners.
