At Edge Grove, our Senior Pupils take pride in championing the areas of school life that inspire them, helping to make a difference and leading by example.

We are delighted to celebrate Kaiya, our Poetry Champion, who has generously donated three books of poetry to the school library. Through her thoughtful gift, Kaiya hopes to inspire others to discover the joy of poetry because she knows that words can move us, challenge us and help us see the world differently.

Garv, our Reading and Library Champion, joined Mrs Volioti, our librarian, to thank Kaiya for her wonderful contribution.

Here we see Edge Grove values in action: leadership is not just about championing a cause, but about inspiring others through kindness, generosity and a genuine desire to make a difference.

🍁 Our Pre-School children had a wonderful time on a special Pumpkin Walk in our Forest School!

The children enjoyed exploring the woodland, searching high and low to find pumpkins hidden among the trees and leaves. We enjoyed some pumpkin-themed stories, sparking the children’s imaginations and excitement for the autumn season.

To finish off our adventure, the children were treated to a yummy chocolate treat, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

It was a magical morning full of outdoor exploration, storytelling and lots of autumn fun. 🍁

A community with kindness at its heart.
Our annual Harvest Festival was a beautiful celebration of everything that makes Edge Grove so special. From the generosity of our families donating food to local food banks, to welcoming local faith leaders and hearing our children share their reflections, the occasion was a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion, gratitude and looking after one another.
At Edge Grove, we nurture not only bright minds, but kind hearts. 💛

We were delighted to welcome archaeologist , alongside her publisher , to Edge Grove to celebrate the launch of Raksha’s new book, The Archaeologist’s Discovery.

Raksha brought archaeology to life, sharing stories of where her work has taken her and showing us how artefacts can reveal fascinating details about how people lived in the past from the food they ate, the clothes they wore and the tools they used.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to meet a real-life archaeologist and discover how curiosity, careful observation and a little detective work can unlock the secrets of the past.

It was also fantastic to see so many of Raksha’s books bought by our pupils, ready to go home and spark further curiosity about the past!

🐖 This morning, the EYFS children were treated to a very special visit from some friendly farm animals! 🫏

The children had the wonderful opportunity to get up close and gently pat some goats, sheep and a donkey. They also really enjoyed watching the ducks drink water from the pond and flap their wings, almost as if they were saying hello to us!

These hands-on learning experiences link beautifully to our EYFS framework, particularly our focus on caring for others, developing respect for living things and understanding the world around us. The children showed such excitement and curiosity as they observed the animals, talked about what they could see and learnt how to approach and handle them gently and respectfully.

It was a lovely morning filled with smiles, wonder and lots of opportunities for the children to learn through real-life experiences.
