Day two at PGL and the sunshine wouldn’t stop,
We lashed logs tight so our raft wouldn’t drop,
Tried fencing with flair, every lunge sharp and bright,
Solved puzzles together with teamwork feeling just right,
Sweating through the heat but spirits stayed high all day,
Adventure in the sunshine—our favourite PGL way.

What’s better than a Science experiment in Opal Woods that then turns into a water fight?! 💦

☀️💦 This is how we keep cool in Reception during the summer!

With our very own foot spa and gutter shower, the children enjoyed a fun-filled morning of splashing, laughing and cooling off in the sunshine. 🌈😊

Year 3 had a wonderful Fishing 🎣 & Water Safety Day, learning about how to stay safe around water and care for our local environment. The children enjoyed a range of fishing-themed activities, including using fishing rods and nets, launching bait with a catapult, and taking part in fun games and worksheets.

During a walk along the river, we discussed water safety, how to act responsibly near water, and what to do in an emergency. The children also observed local wildlife and plants, helping them develop a greater appreciation of the natural environment around them.

Well done to the teams who took part in the pentathlon and quad kids last week. They each took part in long distance runs, sprint, standing long jump and howler. All 4 teams were great but a special well done to the orange and black teams who won their events.

🦆🌿 Year 1 Local Area Adventure 🌿🦆

Our Year 1 children enjoyed a wonderful local area adventure this week, exploring Alcester and taking part in a river walk.

Throughout the day, the children learnt about the importance of water safety, developed their understanding of the local environment and took time to appreciate the beautiful area in which we live. They showed great curiosity, asked thoughtful questions and represented St Nicholas brilliantly.

To make the day even more memorable, the children created some fantastic duck crowns – and were delighted to see the staff proudly wearing them too! 🦆👑

A fantastic day of outdoor learning, exploration and community appreciation. Well done, Year 1! 💙💛

Absolutely proud of our Year 6 football team after their outstanding 8-1 victory this week! ⚽👏

What impressed me most wasn't just the scoreline, but the incredible togetherness, teamwork, and support they showed for one another throughout the match. Every player played their part, worked tirelessly for the team, and demonstrated fantastic communication both on and off the ball.

It was a true team performance from start to finish, with great attitude, determination, and sportsmanship on display. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves – I certainly am!

Well done, team! ⚽️
