⭐️GCSE Results 2026⭐️

Today we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our first-ever GCSE cohort at Birchfield School.

We are incredibly proud to see our students achieve such strong results:

• 100% achieved grades 4–9
• 81% achieved grades 5–9
• 54% achieved grades 6–9

These results mark an important milestone for Birchfield School and are a reflection of the hard work, determination and commitment shown by our students throughout their GCSE studies.

We would also like to recognise the dedication of our teachers and the support of parents and families, all of whom have played an important part in helping our students reach this point.

To our Class of 2026, congratulations on your achievements. We hope you take great pride in what you have accomplished and wish you every success and happiness in the future. Good luck with the next chapter – we look forward to seeing where your journey takes you.

Today we said our goodbyes to our amazing Reception class, who have completed their very first year at Birchfield. They now excitedly head off to their next adventure in Year 1.
We are so proud of everything you've achieved this year. We'll miss your smiles and laughter, but we're so excited to see all you'll accomplish in Year 1.

What an absolutely fantastic performance from our incredible Year 5 & 6 pupils in this year's musical production of Pantastic!

Our talented cast took to the stage with confidence, enthusiasm, and boundless energy, bringing every scene, song, and character to life. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment over weeks of rehearsals truly shone through, making the performance a joy to watch from beginning to end.

We are so proud of every single child for their teamwork, resilience, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and they entertained the audience with laughter, music, and memorable performances.

The Prep School enjoyed a memorable and engaging History Day, with pupils fully immersing themselves in the past through a wide range of exciting activities. Children arrived dressed in an impressive variety of historical costumes, representing different periods and cultures. From Roman soldiers and Victorian children to wartime evacuees and famous historical figures, their creativity and enthusiasm brought history vividly to life.
Throughout the day, pupils explored history through hands-on experiences designed to spark curiosity and deepen their understanding. They challenged themselves with code-breaking activities, created beautiful Roman-style mosaics, and discovered the flavours of the ancient world during a Roman cookery session. Others practised the traditional skill of cross-stitching, while budding engineers worked together to build miniature aqueducts, learning how Roman innovation shaped everyday life.
The day continued with wonderfully uplifting msuic as pupils gathered to sing popular Second World War songs, celebrating the resilience and community spirit of the era. Their performances reflected the knowledge and confidence they had gained throughout the day.
History Day was a fantastic success, providing pupils with an enjoyable opportunity to experience the past in a meaningful and memorable way. It was a celebration of learning, creativity, collaboration, and historical discovery that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you to our Friends of Birchfield for organising such a lovely Afternoon Tea. It was wonderful to see everyone come together and enjoy such a special afternoon. 💚💛💚

A big thank you to our fantastic kitchen staff for all the hard work and care that went into making such lovely food . The sandwiches, cakes, and treats looked beautiful and were enjoyed by everyone — they really helped make the afternoon feel so special.💚💛💚

🥾 DofE Update 🥾

Our Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants have had a successful day! They completed today’s walk with great determination and teamwork before cooking their own evening meal.

To round off the day, the group also took part in an extended line litter pick, helping to care for the local environment and demonstrating the community spirit that is at the heart of the DofE Award.

What a wonderful and memorable evening on Saturday at Birchfield’s 90th Anniversary Ball — a truly fitting celebration of such a remarkable milestone.

Thank you to the Friends of Birchfield for organising such a truly special event. The food was delicious, the music brought such a wonderful atmosphere with plenty of dancing.

What a fantastic afternoon celebrating the incredible talent of our pupils at our Summer Concert!

A huge well done to everyone who performed with such confidence, enthusiasm, and dedication. From singing and instrumental performances our students truly showcased the hard work they have put in throughout the year.

Thank you to our staff for their support and to all the families and friends who came along to cheer on our performers. Your encouragement means so much to our young musicians.
