🌾 A Special Harvest Visit 🌾

A huge thank you to our wonderful vicar, The Reverend Mary, who kindly stayed to spend time with the children following our Harvest Festival assembly.

The children loved having the opportunity to chat with her, share their thoughts and ask lots of questions. She took the time to listen to them, get to know them and answer their questions with such warmth and kindness.

We are incredibly grateful for her time and for the special relationship she continues to build with our children and school community.

Thank you, Reverend Mary! 💛💚

🌟 Pre-Prep Commendation Awards 🌟

A huge congratulations to all of our wonderful Pre-Prep children who have received Commendation Awards over the last two weeks!

We are incredibly proud of the way these children continue to demonstrate our school values through their learning, behaviour and kindness towards others. They are setting such a positive example to those around them and showing us what it means to be a fantastic member of our school community.

Very well deserved – well done, everyone! 🏆🤩

⚽ PARENTS v STAFF – ROUND 1! ⚽

And so it begins… our first Parents v Staff football match took place this evening – and what a game it was! 😂

With Mr Denver having a very suitable excuse for not being there, the staff bravely soldiered on… although things didn’t quite go to plan!

The parents found the back of the net within 10 seconds 😳 and the staff quickly realised this was going to be a serious contest! There were certainly some glimmers of hope from both teams, but after a quick goalkeeper change from the staff after 10 minutes, the parents were finding it a little harder to score quite so easily!

Final score: Parents 9 – 2 Staff 🏆

A huge thank you to Max, Jackson and Ozzy for stepping in and bolstering the staff team – you were absolute stars! 👏

But parents… don’t get too comfortable! The real match will take place after half term, when the staff have a full-strength team. 😏

The staff will be training hard over the break… 💪⚽

Parents, enjoy your victory while it lasts! 😂

🌻✨ WOW… look at our sunflowers! ✨🌻

There was lots of excitement in Reception today, as the children explored the AMAZING sunflowers they had watched grow taller and taller… and taller! They could hardly believe just how enormous they had become!

Magnifying glasses at the ready, our little scientists got busy investigating! 🔍They looked closely at the huge leaves, strong stems, beautiful flower heads and all the tiny details we might normally miss.

The children had great fun comparing the height of the sunflowers to themselves, standing and lying alongside them and discovering just how tall these amazing plants were! 🌻 This sparked lots of wonderful mathematical language and conversations about taller, shorter, higher and lower.

There were so many wonderful questions, observations and moments of pure fascination.

Curiosity, discovery and hands-on learning at its very best! We love seeing our Reception children so excited to investigate the incredible natural world around them. 💚
