🌈 Meet our staff🌈

We are excited to introduce Lisa, Lisa is our manager she has over 24 years experience in early years working as both practitioner and as depute manager in that time. Lisa holds SVQ LEVEL 3 childcare, HNC childcare, PDA childcare practice, BA childhood practice, Forest school level 3
First aid, Trauma and Solihull trained.

A few things about me :
° Favourite colour - navy blue
° Favourite time of year - Christmas and summer.
° Favourite things to do - Spending time with family and friends, going out for meals, swimming and playing darts
° What I like about Oscars - Oscars has made me very welcome, it has a great ethos. Parents,children and staff are all friendly, kind and most of all appear happy. I can't wait to be part of the team and build good relationships with everyone. I love arts and crafts and making a mess.

Today the children had a party! This was a joint leaving party for Melissa and orlagh! We played pass the parcel, musical statues, musical bumps, corners and much more the children also enjoyed a buffet and Costco cake! 🎂

Melissa’s last day will be tomorrow and Orlagh’s will be the end of term.

Melissa:
I would just like to take this time to thank Oscar’s and the wonderful children, families, parent committee and staff for the opportunity’s and memories. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to care for and support all of the amazing children throughout my just shy of 10 years at oscars! I will miss the cuddles, laughter, stories, playing games and trip days. I wish the boys and girls all the best!
Oscars play scheme has been a huge part of my life and has seen me though many personal and professional developmental milestones, it is now time for me to turn the page onto a new chapter. 📕❤

The SHANARRI indicator we have been discussing this month is active!

The children's voices on how their active indicator is met:

Week beginning 29th April- for international guide dog day (April 24th) we created a wall display and learned the importance of guide dogs and the amazing job they do! 🐕

Week beginning 22nd April - For world earth day 🌍 the children made salt pictures of their own worlds this was then added to a lovely wall display!

On Harry Potter week the children coloured in pictures and helped to create a wall display! Fantastic skills boys and girls! 🪄🧙‍♀️

For world tuna day (may 2nd) The children enjoyed some tuna with snack it went down treat and was requested again for the following Week! 🐟

We have a new play space within our room! A lovely play kitchen was donated to us, we have made a home/role play area for the children to explore! Consisting of play kitchen, food, dress up, baby dolls and play tools house hold equipment.

Week beginning 6th may - At our sensory area the children made bird feeders! 🐦 taking home to feed the birdies in their gardens!

Week beginning 29th April - our topic of the week was harry Potter so it was only right the children made their own potions 🪄🧙‍♀️
