As part of our partnership with @theplaceyork our volunteers deliver “Day in the life” sessions showcasing different careers for the student of Westfield Primary every term. Last week we welcomed volunteers from @uniofyork IT Help Desk and @yorkminsterofficial who share all about technology, helping clients remotely solve problems and how to create an exhibition of archives and artefacts. . York Festival of Ideas

We've been enjoying the sunshine at Wednesday Play over the last few weeks with lots of games in the garden as well as crafts and games indoors.

Come along next Wednesday 3.30pm-4.30pm for more activities! Everyone welcome!

(There is no Monday Explore this week due to the bank holiday. Activities will be on from Tuesday as normal.)



Big thanks to volunteers from Aviva for all their efforts getting the garden ready for playing in!

Lots of Lego this week at The Place! At Monday Explore we learnt about China - we ate noodles and dumplings, had a go at creating Chinese artwork and built the Great Wall of China! We also built our own Lego houses at Wednesday Play and made shrink key rings.
