Bursting with colour, contrast and mixed media today! Such a joy to work with these amazing kids: exploring mark making to create backgrounds used for sewing beautiful line patterns, and creating stunning Notan designs. We are already looking forward to our next Art days coming in July & August!
A super fun day filled with faces: focusing on, line, colour and shapes! We first explored drawing faces in various different ways, then designing an abstract face inspired by Picasso, each one developed with pencil, shapes, drawn into tin foil and painted with acrylic paints. The portraits were then further developed with wool sewn into hessian. Also lots of personal projects paper food, character drawing, and favourite characters developed with sewing!! Such a fun day with these creative kids 🤩(despite the heat! 🥵👌🎨)

So much lovely work with our Saturday group today: printmaking on tote bags and working with shades of just one colour to create monochromatic geometric animals 🐺🐱🐿️
Constructing & painting COLOURFUL LIONS with our Saturday art group! 🦁🎨 Exploring shades of colour mixing gouache paint, constructing lions using recycled cardboard and painting them before adding line and pattern detail. We are looking forward to finishing them at our next session! 🤩
