In 1960 David Joseph Evans and his wife Vera Mary Evans purchased 3 vehicles and a small piece of land from Morgan Bros., Brynhyfryd, and that was the beginning of Evans’ Coaches. As the business continued to grow David and Vera were joined by their children, Elsie, Selwyn and Melvyn as they each left school. In 1988 Evans’ Coaches purchased Mid Wales Motorways (1963) Ltd / Mid Wales Travel, based in Newtown, and then joined the two companies together in 1990. Over the year's our experience of coach travel has enabled us to provide a 1st class coach service to the people of Mid Wales. Our highly experienced team are always on hand to help with any enquiries, so whether it is information on our services/ bus routes / stops, for a Private Hire quotation or simply for information on what we can offer, please contact us at our locally based depot in Penrhyncoch.

Service Diversion – Rali Ceredigion

Please be advised that on Friday 4th September and Saturday 5th September, our 526 and 301 services will be diverted via Llanbadarn Road due to the road closure at Boulevard St Brieuc for Rali Ceredigion.

Due to the increased traffic and congestion, some services may experience delays. We kindly ask passengers to please be patient and allow extra time for their journey.

Our drivers are doing their very best to keep services running as smoothly as possible.

Llanbadarn Road at LLangawsai is still closed.

So the 526 will not be serving Llanbadarn Road.

We have heard reports that Llanbadarn Road is closed between the Penweddig school and the Leisure centre.
With the lights in Bow Street too, please be aware our services will be delayed.

The 526 won't be able to service along that part of Llanbadarn until it reopens.
