Seed to Plate 🌱🍓

CNRB learners have successfully grown their own strawberries in the school garden. They planted, cared for, and harvested the fruit themselves – all leading up to enjoying them as part of a fresh fruit salad at breakfast club!

A fantastic achievement and a great example of learning through hands-on experience. 👏

CNRB pupils visited the Garden Centre to choose bee-friendly plants for our garden. 🌼🐝🌱 The learners practised their social communication and money skills in a real-life setting- authentic learning at its best! Thank you to Six Bells PTFA for their kind donation.💚

1MC enjoyed their very special visitor, learning all about Australia, they learned so many interesting facts, including their special food, money, languages and animals! 🐨🦘🇦🇺

🐝 Year 2 have been busy designing and creating their own Bee-Bot mats inspired by Barry Island! 🌊🎡 After making their mats, they programmed the Bee-Bots and recorded the algorithms needed to navigate around the landmarks.

Year 2SSh had a busy day bringing their up-cycling designs to life. After learning about the impact of plastic pollution in our oceans, the pupils designed and created something useful out of used plastic - from bird feeders, to plant pots, to pencil pots! ✏️♻️🪴

Year 2SSh have been working so hard recognising coins this week and choosing the correct coins to pay for things at different prices! Da iawn! 🪙

Fantastic mathematical thinking from our Year 1 and 2 learners this week! 💰✨ They explored different combinations of coins to make the same totals, developing their counting, reasoning and problem-solving skills. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow!
