Everything's better at a large scale, right?! 1:1 construction detailing. Stage 1 students setting out their main section and adding all the detail on paper before attempting it digitally. Obviously this looks easy... A full day of dimensions, setting out and hand drawing to complete this. A big well done to all involved.
Also some setting out support from our kind stage 3's!

Professional Practice - Stage 3 AT's

Great to have Gordon Souter into our studio representing CIAT and covering all aspects of the Code of Conduct for our aspiring AT's. Supporting Gordon, Gary Mee's explained the history for HSE and the role, responsibilities and the importance of CDM.

Always a pleasure having industry into the studio and sparking discussion and questions with our students.

Bringing out the BE-ST in our stage 3 & 4
Turing that all important air tightness layer that we usually show in our details as a dashed line... Well isn't all just a wee bit more complicated than that!

Thanks to Ross and Charlotte from for presenting today to our students. Another 10 out of 10 presentation that will allow our students to develop their projects and the attention to detail required when it comes to timber cladding.

Architectural Technology and Quantity Surveying Students measuring out a site which has been pegged out for this activity. Next step, understand the survey notes, download OS map data and plot the surveyed site!
Not sure this is a true reflection on most measured surveys in Scotland!

What a first post for our new page(s)!

Awards night for our students, hosted by the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen - thanks for such a special evening and brilliant awards.

Well done to all the students involved - some seriously impressive work and some amazing skills on display.

Well done to all the students involved, specially those in stage 1 and stage 4 AT and our friends and colleagues in stage 1 and 6 architecture. Excellent work.

Exciting time ahead for this year - keep working hard and showing off 🙌
